Today’s Promise

His Favor Lasts a Lifetime
For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning.
Psalm 30:5
You Have God’s Favor
God’s favor is flowing over you today. As His child, you will never outlive His grace and favor working in your life.
As a follower of Christ, you live in God’s favor. God’s favor is His supernatural blessing and kindness toward you. The New Testament word for favor is “grace.”
God’s favor gives you the ability to be and do things you could never do on your own. His favor invites you to come boldly into His presence and fellowship with Him. Because of His favor, you know your prayers are heard and answers.
God pours out His favor on all His children. His favor provides for your every need. Every blessing of God is evidence of His favor on you. You can’t earn His favor; it is a gift of grace.
Many of us have a hard time accepting the favor of God. We feel unworthy of God’s favor. The truth is, we are. No one is worthy of God’s grace. No matter how hard you might try, you can never be good enough for God’s favor. The good news is that God’s favor is not dependent on your worthiness.
Favor for a Lifetime
One of the most amazing aspects of God’s favor is found right in the middle of today’s verse. God’s favor lasts a lifetime.
God’s favor is not for a moment or an hour. God’s favor is forever. You will never run out of God’s favor. Every morning is a reminder that God’s favor is flowing over you.
Sure, there may be difficult times, but knowing that God’s favor lasts a lifetime is a reminder that even in the hard times, God’s favor and grace are flowing over you.
Take a few moments today and celebrate God’s favor on you. As His child, you walk in His favor and grace today. Even if you were to live way beyond one hundred years old, God’s favor would still be new every morning, and His grace would still bring His blessing throughout the day.
Look at that promise again.
For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning. – Psalm 30:5
Make these confessions.
- I live in God’s favor and blessing.
- God renews His favor toward me every morning.
- I don’t deserve His favor, but He pours it out on me every day.
- I will never outlive God’s favor on me.
- Every blessing is evidence of God’s favor in my life.
In Jesus name,
Amen
Because you are His child, you can never deplete the favor of God. His favor will be renewed in your life until you close your eyes and see Him face-to-face.
