Today’s Promise

God’s Promises Bring Hope

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
Romans 15:13

Hope is a powerful emotion. When you lose hope, you lose everything, but when hope abounds, amazing things happen.

 A Promise of Hope
Although this prayer was for the church in Rome, you can claim it for yourself. God is your only source of genuine hope.

Before you came to Christ, you had no hope. You feared death, the future was uncertain, and you lived life by your own ingenuity.

When you came to Christ, Jesus filled you with hope. Now you have hope for tomorrow, hope in eternity, and hope for God’s help for day-to-day living.

Hope Not Wish
We use the word “hope” a lot. Our children hope we have ice cream tonight, and a person buys a lotto ticket hoping to win it big.

Biblical hope is not just emotional well-wishing. Biblical hope is the confidence that God will fulfill what He has promised.

Your source of overflowing hope is your faith and the Holy Spirit within you. God gives you hope by activating your faith through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Joy and Peace Flow
As your hope grows, joy and peace become evident in your life.

Joy is inner gladness, regardless of your situation. You can be full of joy even though you may be going through a difficult time. God fills your heart with gladness as you place your hope in Him.

Peace is the inner contentment of your heart. As a Christian, you understand that God is working things together for your good. You can be at peace because you know God is on your side.

This prayer is for hope, joy, and peace to abound or overflow in your life. You have all the hope, joy, and peace you will ever need.

You are filled with hope today because your eternity is secure, God loves you, and the Holy Spirit is in you.

Let’s look at that promise again.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. – Romans 15:13

Make these confessions.

  • Jesus fills me with hope.
  • Because of that hope, I have peace and Joy.
  • The Holy Spirit in me fills me with hope.
  • I overflow with hope, joy, and peace today.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen

When you lose hope, you lose everything, but Christ in you brings overflowing hope to all you do.

I am. I love starting the day with my Holy Family before I even get out of bed. Thank you for adding this to my morning. I’m praying for you all also. That God will bless your mission and you will reach more people than ever before. Thank you again for this beautiful blessing. In Jesus name, amen.
