I Can Trust in the Lord

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and whose trust is the Lord. “For he will be like a tree planted by the water, that extends its roots by a stream and will not fear when the heat comes; but its leaves will be green, and it will not be anxious in a year of drought nor cease to yield fruit.
Jeremiah 17:7-8

Trusting God

When you trust in the Lord, amazing things happen. Trusting in the Lord is placing your complete confidence in the Lord. It is more than intellectual assent; it is a total abandonment to God’s will and work in your life.

The prophet describes the person who trusts in the Lord as a tree planted by a stream. Here are four quick things about the person who puts their trust in the Lord.

First, the person who trusts in the Lord has an unending source of life-giving spiritual water. In the scriptures, water is a symbol of the Holy Spirit. The person who trusts in the Lord reaches out and grabs hold of all the Lord has for them. They allow the life-giving presence of the Holy Spirit to flow through them.

Second, the person who trusts in the Lord is not afraid in the heat of the moment. They know the Lord will take care of them. While others are wilting in the summer sun, those who trust in the Lord draw refreshing water from their innermost beings.

Third, when difficult days turn into difficult times, the person who trusts in the Lord never loses hope. They have confidence that God will provide. They know from experience they can trust God. They don’t worry or fear because God is their strength.

Finally, the person who trusts in the Lord will bear fruit. Fruit is a symbol of health and productivity. A healthy tree produces fruit. The growing Christian who trusts in the Lord will produce the fruit of the spirit and will encourage everyone around them.

In this season, when fear and worry are running rampant, you can be a refreshing oasis to those around you. As you trust in the Lord, you will be a shining example of God’s power and goodness to the world.

During these days, trust in the Lord. He will strengthen and sustain you.

Look at that promise again.

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and whose trust is the Lord. “For he will be like a tree planted by the water, that extends its roots by a stream and will not fear when the heat comes; but its leaves will be green, and it will not be anxious in a year of drought nor cease to yield fruit. – Jeremiah 17:7-8

Make these confessions.

  • I will trust in the Lord.
  • No matter what I am going through, God will refresh and sustain me.
  • When I face difficult days, I will stand firm.
  • As I trust in the Lord, the fruit of the spirit grows in me.

In Jesus Name.
Amen

We are all going through difficult times. As you trust in the Lord, God will sustain you and use you as an example of His goodness and care.

I am trusting God to be content and for complete happiness. I am trusting God for financial stability and for God to heal mind/brain. I thank God for sustaining me do far and I am very thankful He has. I am trusting God for a husband that loves me for me and I am trusting God for beautiful twins that I hope to give birth to. Before the marriage and twins, I am trusting God for complete healing. I’ve been told I have scar tissue between my anus and urethra, so I’m trusting God for complete healing regarding that. I’m trusting God to heal my grandmother who is in the hospital with pneumonia and kidney failure and I trust that God will sustain me physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially.

I have been let go from my job as a registered nurse due to the Washington State vaccine mandate. I am hearing from the Lord on this and I am truly at peace. The Father is my true comfort and provision. I will trust in the Lord.

Lord I pray for those who have it hard financially those who suffer with mental and physical illness. Please lord comfort them. For as Long as could remember I don’t know how I new their is a God and a Jesus . I use to cry and pray to picture who I thought was God. I know now that was wrong but even though I was sinning he comforted me gave me purpose. Being a child of God and a sister of Jesus he will never let me go it alone. I fall short every day in my worship I know I will get right and he love me unconditionally. Trust in your self and what’s in your ♥️ our father gave us that heart .
