Today’s Promise
In Everything Give Thanks
1 Thessalonians 5:18
In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Called to be Thankful
God calls you to a life of thankfulness. Taking a few moments every day to review the blessings God has poured out on our life can transform your outlook and your attitude.
You can be thankful for friends, family, health, and prosperity. No matter what your situation is like today, you can still be thankful.
You Are Blessed
Compared to other places and people in the world, you are extremely blessed of God. If you have a roof over your head and food in the pantry, you are doing better than much of the world. According to World Vision, 815,000,000 people will go to bed hungry tonight. Almost half the world’s population survives on less than $2.50 a day.
We all have much to be thankful for.
Thankfulness should be a lifestyle. God deserves more than one day of Thanksgiving. A thankful person is a humble person.
A proud person will never be a thankful person.
When you walk in thankfulness, you confess that God is the source of all you have. When you are thankful, you humble yourself by confessing; it’s not all about you.
In Everything, Not for Everything
God calls you to give thanks in everything. Giving thanks in everything is not giving thanks for everything. It’s hard to be thankful for a flat tire, a bad doctor’s report, or a difficult marriage.
However, you can give thanks in those situations because you know God is in control of your life.
You can be thankful that He is working for your good and that He will never forsake you.
You Can Be Thankful
You can be thankful for what God is going to do in this challenging situation.
Thankfulness is an attitude. It is confessing that all you have and all you are comes from the Lord.
Giving thanks is a confession that God is good, and He takes care of His children.
Look at that promise again.
In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. – 1 Thessalonians 5:18
Make these confessions.
- I thank God for pouring out His blessings on me.
- Every day I will spend a few moments expressing my thankfulness.
- God is the source of all I need.
- I thank God in every situation because I know He is working for my good.
In Jesus name,
Amen
Today, you can be thankful because you know God is working in your life as your protector and provider.

Happy Birthday, Kevin. I hope you have a great day and walk in God’s blessings – Billy
I am thankful for God’s grace and mercy everyday of my life. In Matthew 22:14, God says “many are called and few are chosen”. I am so thankful He has chosen me to be a light on the hill, to spread the gospel and to serve Him and others with a cheerful heart.
I am thankful God has had mercy on our country; he is still giving us chances to right the wrongs we have committed against Him. Lord help us to do so.
I’m thankful to have been born in this country.
I’m thankful anytime I can have a conversation with Christian friends.

I am grateful for God’s provision, protection, providence and presence all of which reflects and gives evidence of His Amazing Grace, His Peace that surpasses human understanding, and His Agape love . A beautiful Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir song, “Jesus, It is you”, wonderfully gives expression to my thanksgiving.
