Today’s Promise

My God Never Changes

Malachi 3:6

For I am the Lord, I do not change.

Change is All Around You

This promise is a declaration of what God is like, right from His very mouth. He never changes.

Our world is constantly changing. New technology and information show up daily. Sometimes you wake up in the morning to find your phone was updated during the night. While you slept, new features were added, and changes were made to your phone. Usually, change is good; it’s part of life. Change means progress and improvement. Typically, things get better as they change.

Change can also be a source of stress and confusion. Because your world is constantly changing, you seem to live on a never-ending learning curve. What you counted on yesterday isn’t available today; things have changed.

God Never Changes

There is one who never changes. The God you serve is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He has not changed in His nature, His purpose, or His promise. His love and goodness never change. So while the world may change around you, He is the constant foundation you can build your life on.

God’s Word Never Changes

Since God never changes, His word and promise never change. A promise is only as good as the person making the promise. God’s word is trustworthy and can be counted on for wisdom, instruction, and truth. What God has promised in the past, He will fulfill today because He never changes.

There may be times when you think God has forgotten you or that He will never fulfill the promise He has made. But, don’t be afraid, God never changes, and He will do what He has said He would do.

God is not like us; we change with the wind. We sign a contract today, then hire a lawyer to break that contract tomorrow. God is not like that. He never changes. What God has promised, He will fulfill. Because He is the never-changing God, He always does what He says He will do.

The God you serve is still loving. He still overflows with grace and mercy. He is still the God who rolls up His sleeves and gets involved in your life. You can count on Him because He never changes.

Look at that promise once again.

For I am the Lord, I do not change. – Malachi 3:6

Make These Confessions.

  • My God never changes.
  • He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
  • Since God never changes, His word will never change.
  • He will fulfill every promise He has made.
  • Even though the world is constantly changing, God is my stable foundation.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

As you face a changing world today, remember, God never changes, and what He has promised, He will bring to pass.

Every day we have people submit prayer requests to the prayer wall at www.nationalprayerroom. We want to support our fellow believers by praying for them. Take a moment and go www.nationalprayerroom.com and click on the Prayer Wall. Pray for several of the needs listed there. If you have a prayer need, you can post your request on the prayer wall as well. Let lift each other up in prayer.

Thanks for being a part of The Daily Promise family. Tomorrow is review day on The Daily Promise. I’ll be reviewing the promises we learned this week, so we can allow God to move them deep into our hearts. I hope you will join me.

If your God is the never-changing God, put an “Amen” in the comments section.
