There is no question these are difficult and trying times. Many of us are hurting and afraid. God’s word gives us hope for tomorrow and peace for today.

Saturday Review

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises of the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts and lives.

We began the week seeing how God gives us grace, mercy, and peace.

Here’s the promise.

Grace, mercy and peace will be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. – 2 John 1:3

Make these declarations with me.

  • God’s grace is with me today.
  • His grace drew me to Himself and brought about my salvation.
  • God’s mercy is flowing over me today.
  • His mercy has forgiven my sin and made me new in Him.
  • Because of God’s grace and mercy, I have peace with Him today.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

God’s mercy and grace come together to bring about God’s peace in your life.

On Tuesday, we saw how God is always doing something new. He leads us through the wilderness and provides refreshment in the desert.

Here’s the promise.

Behold, I will do something new. Now it will spring forth; will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, rivers in the desert. – Isaiah 43:18

Make these confessions.

  • I will not dwell on the past but look forward to what God will do today.
  • I am keeping my eyes open to the new thing God is doing.
  • When I face uncertain times, God will show me the path to follow.
  • When the world dries up around me, God will bring rivers of refreshment and provision.

In Jesus name,
Amen

No matter how vast the wilderness or how dry the desert is you are facing, God is giving you direction and refreshing you with His presence.

Midway through the week, we celebrated the freedom Christ has given us.

Here’ the promise.

It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery. – Galatians 5:1

Make these declarations today.

  • In Jesus Christ, I have freedom.
  • I am not under the law or any set of rules.
  • I live in an empowered, loving relationship with Christ.
  • I will not allow myself to be brought back under the bondage of religion.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Jesus has set you free. You are no longer a slave to your sin, selfishness, fear, or past failures. As a free person in Jesus Christ, never allow allowing anyone to put you back under the law of bondage.

On Thursday, we claimed the three-step promise that we will be successful and prosper as we put God’s Word into our lives, and obey it completely.

Here’s the promise.

This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. – Joshua 1:8

Make these confessions.

  • I will keep God’s Word close to my heart and life.
  • I will spend time each day thinking about God’s Word.
  • I will obey the commands and principles I read in the Bible.
  • As I meditate and obey God’s Word, He will bless me and bring about success and prosperity.

In Jesus name,
Amen

God’s Word is filled with success principles. As you obey His Word, He will bless you and bring about your success.

We ended the week with the promise that God has moved us from the kingdom of darkness to His kingdom of light.

Here’s the promise.

He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son. – Colossians 1:13

Make these confessions.

  • I am no longer a member of the kingdom of darkness.
  • I am now a citizen of the Kingdom of Christ.
  • Jesus is my Lord and King.
  • I live in victory today because Christ has made me part of His kingdom.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Once you were a slave and part of the kingdom of darkness. God has freed you from the kingdom of darkness and brought you into His kingdom of light. As part of the kingdom of light, you can walk in victory today.

That’s it for this week. I hope these five promises have been a blessing to you. I hope you will tell others about The Daily Promise. During this time, everyone can use a positive word from God’s Word.
