Saturday Review

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises of the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts and lives.

We began the week claiming Isaiah 43:2. When we feel overwhelmed by a flood of fear and doubt, God will lift us up and keep us from drowning.

Here’s the promise.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you. – Isaiah 43:2

Make these confessions.

  • God is with me when the waters of fear and uncertainty come.
  • He will protect me and rescue me from the flood.
  • When I suffer loss or feel overwhelmed, I know that my God is with me.
  • God will lift me from the raging waters and give me peace.

In Jesus name
Amen

God is not surprised by the floods that come into your life. He is ready to give you peace, faith, and joy amid the problems you are facing.

On Tuesday, we saw how goodness and mercy are always following those who trust in the Lord.

Here’s the promise.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. – Psalm 23:6

Make these confessions.

  • God’s goodness is flowing over me today.
  • God’s mercy is following me wherever I go.
  • Just as God has blessed and protected me in the past, He will do so in the future.
  • I will not worry or fear because His goodness and mercy are following me today.

In Jesus name,
Amen

When you look back over your past, you will see how God has worked for you good, and His mercy has flowed over your life.

Midway through the week, we celebrated God’s patient love for us. He understands our weaknesses and patiently works to bring us closer to Him.

Here’s the promise.

The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. – 2 Peter 3:9

Make this declaration with me.

  • God is never slow in fulfilling His promises.
  • God is patient with me and knows my frailty.
  • He is working to make me more like Jesus.
  • He patiently draws me back to Him when I stray.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Like a loving Father, God gently guides you in the way you should go. Though it’s rarely on your timetable, God always fulfills His promises.

On Thursday, we claimed the promise that when we face difficult and troubling days, we can call on the Lord.

Here’s the promise.

In the day of my trouble I shall call upon You, For You will answer me. – Psalm 86:7

Make These Confessions.

  • When trouble comes, I will not fear or complain.
  • When trouble comes, I will call upon the Lord.
  • When I call upon the Lord, I know He will answer me.
  • God will never leave me to face my troubles and problems alone.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

When your day of trouble comes, call on the Lord. God will never leave you to face your day of trouble alone.

We finished up the week, seeing how Jesus freed us from worshiping God in one particular place. You can worship Him anywhere as long as you worship Him through faith in Christ, with an honest heart.

Here’s the promise.

God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth. – John 4:24

Make these confessions.

  • I can worship God wherever I am.
  • I worship the Lord through the name of Jesus.
  • When I worship, my heart reaches out to God.
  • God accepts my worship when I worship Him with an honest and sincere heart.

In Jesus Christ,
Amen

Worshipping in spirit and truth is worshipping God through the name of Jesus with a heart that is open and honest before God.

That’s it for this week. I hope these five promises have been a blessing to you. Share one of these promises with a friend or on social media, everyone can use a positive word from God’s Word.
