Saturday Review
Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.
Monday – God’s Grace Goes to the Humble
We began the week claiming the promise that God gives grace to those who humble themselves before Him. God actually opposes the prideful.
Here’s the Promise.
But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” – James 4:6
Make these confessions.
- I live in humble dependence on God.
- As I humble myself before God, He pours His grace on me.
- God opposes the Proud and Independent.
- I confess my need for Christ and humble myself before Him today.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
As you humble yourself by spending time with God, you will find His grace and favor growing in your life.
Tuesday – Stand Firm in Faith
On Tuesday, we saw that we become stable and firm as we dig our lives into God’s word. The attacks of this world will not move us. In Christ, we are immovable in our faith.
Here’s the promise.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord. – 1 Corinthians 15:58
Make these confessions.
- My faith is strengthened as I trust in God’s Word.
- In Jesus’ name, I will not be moved in my faith.
- God always empowers what He commands.
- As my faith is strong, my work for the Lord abounds.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
Remember, God always empowers you to accomplish what He commands. Your steadfast faith keeps you secure, no matter what spiritual attacks may come. Because of your faith, your work for the Lord will overflow.
Wednesday – Those Who Know God, Trust God
Midway through the week, we discovered that the more we know God, the more we will trust Him. We can know God by name, the way we know our best friend.
Here’s the promise.
And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you. – Psalm 9:10
Make these confessions.
- The more I know the Lord, the more I trust Him.
- My trust in the Lord grows every day.
- I know the Lord, and He knows me.
- Because He is trustworthy, He will never forsake me.
- In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
There is one thing those who know the name of the Lord will always confess: God is faithful and trustworthy. He always comes to the aid of His children, and He will be with you today.
Thursday – Think on These Things
On Thursday, we were challenged to set our minds on the good things God has given us. We can set our minds on the things that build our faith or set our minds on fear and worry. God calls us to focus on good, positive, and faith-instilling thoughts.
Here’s the promise.
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. – Philippians 4:8
Make these confessions.
- Today, I set my mind on the goodness of God.
- I refuse to be negative, fearful, or worrisome.
- I am a positive influence on the world around me.
- The blessings of God are pouring over me today.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
Today, focus your thoughts on the good things of God. When negative thoughts enter your mind, refocus them on the goodness of God.
Friday – God Will Comfort You
We ended the week with the promise that God brings encouragement and comfort to those who are weary and depressed.
Here’s the promise.
But God, who comforts the depressed, comforted us by the coming of Titus. – 2 Corinthians 7:6
Make these confessions.
- Everyone faces times of discouragement and stress.
- I should never feel guilty about being discouraged.
- Though I may not see it, God is working to bring comfort and encouragement to me.
- My Titus is just around the corner.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
When you get discouraged or depressed, remember God is working on your behalf. You may not see it yet, but God has a Titus just around the corner to encourage and comfort you.
That’s it for this week. I hope these promises have been a blessing to you. Go back through these promises and allow God to renew your mind with these truths from His Word. Share one of these promises with a friend or family member. Everyone can use an encouraging word from God’s Word.

The confession from Wednesday speaks great encouragement, “Because He is trustworthy, He will never forsake me” Amen.
