Saturday Review
Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.
Monday – You Are the Light of the World
We began the week by seeing how Jesus has made us the light of the world. Just as Jesus came as the light of the world, He declared we are now the light of the world.
Here’s the promise.
You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. – Matthew 5:14
Make these confessions.
- In Jesus Christ, I am the light of the world.
- I am a city set on a hill.
- I bring the kingdom of God into every situation of life.
- I walk in clarity, security, and guidance.
- I bring the Father’s light to a world of darkness.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
Jesus declared that He was the light of the world. You are now that light. You bring the light of Christ into every situation of life.
Tuesday – I Have a New and Eternal Body
On Tuesday, we claimed the promise that even though our earthly bodies are getting older and will one day fail us, God has given us eternal bodies made specifically for each of us.
Here’s the promise.
For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. – 2 Corinthians 5:1
Make these confessions.
- My body is aging and will one day fail me.
- In Jesus Christ, I have a new, eternal body.
- When I pass from this life into eternity,
- I will receive a new and eternal body handmade by God.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
Death is not final. When you close your eyes in death, you will open them in a new body, in the presence of God for all eternity.
Wednesday – Seek the Kingdom of God and all Will be Given to You
Midway through the week, we learned that when we make the Kingdom of God our priority, everything else falls into place. Jesus promised that everything would be given to those who seek His kingdom.
Here’s the promise.
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. – Matthew 6:33
Make these confessions.
- As I seek the kingdom of God, everything else falls into place.
- I seek the Kingdom of God by making Christ my priority.
- Today I am making the kingdom of God my focus.
- I look forward to all God brings into my life.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
Stop worrying about so many things. Make Jesus and His kingdom the priority of your life, and everything else will fall into place.
Thursday – The Lord is My Shepherd
On Thursday, we looked at one of the most well-loved passages in the Bible. When the Lord is your shepherd, you don’t have to worry about anything. He will care for you.
Here’s the promise.
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. – Psalm 23:1
Make these confessions.
- The Lord of all creation is my shepherd.
- He is my protection, provision, and guide.
- He is watching over every area of my life.
- He knows my name, and I hear His voice.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
Let this promise follow you throughout your day. The Lord is Your shepherd. He is caring for you today.
Friday – I Am Formed by God
We ended the week with the promise that we were formed by the hand of God. We are not genetic accidents. God molded each one of us for our good and for His glory.
We will never experience the meaningful life God intends for us as long as we wish we were someone different.
Here’s the promise.
Your hands have made and fashioned me; give me understanding that I may learn your commandments. – Psalm 119:73
Make these confessions.
- I am handcrafted by God.
- He made me with a purpose and a plan.
- I am not an accident; I am created.
- I was created according to His specifications for His purpose.
- I am made according to His desire, and His desire is for my good.
- Today I celebrate who God fashioned and created me to be.
- In Jesus Name,
Amen
You were created by the hand of God. He created you for a special purpose only you can accomplish. Celebrate His work in you today.
That’s it for this week. I hope these promises have been a blessing to you. Go back through these promises and allow God to renew your mind with these truths from His Word. Share one of these promises with a friend or family member. Everyone can use an encouraging word from God’s Word.
