Saturday Review

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.

Monday – The Spirit Prays For Me

On Monday, we saw that when we don’t know what to pray or how to pray, the Holy Spirit prays for us in ways we don’t understand.

Here’s the promise.

In the same way, the Spirit also joins to help in our weakness, because we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with unspoken groanings. – Romans 8:26

Make these confessions after me.

  • When I don’t know how to pray or what to pray, the Holy Spirit prays for me.
  • When all I can do is cry out to God, the Holy Spirit knows my heart.
  • The Holy Spirit intercedes for me to the Father.
  • Today, the Holy Spirit is helping me pray.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

When all you can say is “Jesus, help me!” The Holy Spirit is taking your prayer and translating it to the Father.

Tuesday – I Will Not Fear

On Tuesday, we learned how fear is a confession that we don’t believe God is in control.

Here’s the promise.

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with My righteous right hand. – Isaiah 41:10

Confess this with me.

  • I will not fear because God is with me.
  • I will not live in fear because God is strengthening me
  • I will not live in fear because God is helping me.
  • I will not live in fear today because God is holding my hand and lifting me up.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

When you are afraid, call out to the one who is committed to strengthen, help, and uphold you.

Wednesday – God Cares About the Details of My Life

Midway through the week, we were reminded that God knows and cares about the smallest details of our lives.

Here’s the promise.

Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid therefore; you are worth more than many sparrows. – Matthew 10:29-31

Confess this with me.

  • God knows and cares about the details of my life.
  • He has every hair on my head numbered.
  • I am significant to the Lord of Glory!
  • I can bring the smallest detail of life to Him because He cares about even the smallest things in my life.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Remember, God knows and cares about you. You are significant in His sight.

Thursday – God’s Word Keeps Me From Sin

On Thursday, we claimed the promise that as we hide God’s Word in our heart, it keeps us from sin.

Here’s the promise.

Your Word I have treasured in my heart, That I may not sin against You.  – Psalm 119:11

Make these confessions.

  • As I treasure God’s Word, it renews my mind.
  • When I read and study God’s Word, it strengthens my faith.
  • God’s Word shows me when I sin and how to get right with Him.
  • As I treasure God’s Word in my heart, it keeps me from sin.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Remember what D. L. Moody said; ‘The Bible will keep you from sin, and sin will keep you from the Bible.” As you allow God’s Word to go deep into your heart, it transforms your life and keeps you from sin.

Friday – God is With Me in the Flood and Fire

We ended the week seeing how God is with us when we feel swept away by our circumstances, or the fire had destroyed an area of our life.

Here’s the promise.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you. – Isaiah 43:2

Makes these confessions.

  • When I am overwhelmed and things are falling apart, God is with me.
  • He is with me in the waters of fear and uncertainty.
  • He is with me in the fire of destruction.
  • He will protect and rescue me from the flood.
  • God will lift me above the raging waters and walk with me through the fire.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

He knows what you are going through and will lead you through the flood and the fire. He will give you peace, faith, and even joy amid the problems you are facing.
