Saturday Review
Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.
Monday – The Blood of Jesus Removes Your Sin
We began the week with the promise that the blood of Jesus would wash away all our sins. So many Christians carry needless guilt and shame because they have difficulty accepting God’s forgiveness. They can’t seem to shake their identity with their sin. They see themselves more as a sinner than a saint.
However, God forgave and cleansed us from our sin. We no longer carry the weight of our past sins and failures. We no longer identify with our sin.
Here’s the promise.
But if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. – 1 John 1:7 (NASB)
Make these confessions.
- In Jesus Christ, my sin is forgiven.
- God has cleansed me from all the shame, guilt, and pain of my sin.
- I am clean and pure before Him.
- I no longer identify with my sin but with my righteousness in Christ.
- When I sin, God forgives me and cleanses my heart.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
God not only forgave our sins; He cleansed us. He washed us with the blood of Jesus and removed every hint of sin and stain.
Tuesday – Five Reasons to Delight in God’s Word
On Tuesday, we saw that as we make God’s Word a priority in our lives, we become like firmly planted trees. When the storms of life come, we will not be moved. We become a refreshing shade to those around us and walk in the purpose God made us.
Here’s the promise.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers. – Psalm 1:2-3
Make these confessions.
- As I delight in God’s word, I become a firmly planted tree.
- God has placed me where I am for a purpose.
- I provide refreshing shelter to everyone around me.
- The storms of life will not move me because I am firmly planted.
- I will impact those around me for generations to come.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
As we learn to delight in the word of the Lord, God makes us like a tree firmly planted for His glory.
Wednesday – Cast All Your Cares on Jesus
Midway through the week, we discovered that we could throw all our anxiety, fear, and worry on the Lord. We can cast every care on Him because He loves us.
Here’s the promise.
Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. – 1 Peter 5:7
Make these confessions.
- Today, I throw all my care on Christ.
- I humble myself and place my trust in Him.
- I put my fears, worries, and concerns on Jesus.
- I know He will carry my burdens because He loves me.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
When you throw all your anxieties on the Lord, you will find new strength, confidence, and faith as you trust the Lord’s goodness to bring you through.
Thursday – God Secures Your Steps
On Thursday, we claimed the promise that God has a plan for our life. He directs our steps to fulfill His will in our lives. As we walk in obedience to Him, He secures our steps. He strengthens each step and gives us a secure footing. When we walk in submission to Him, He delights in us.
Here’s the promise.
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way. – Psalm 37:23
Make these confessions.
- Today, God orders my steps.
- I am walking in the way He leads me.
- He places my feet on solid ground.
- My every step is directed and secured by Christ.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
When your path is rough and unstable, God will secure your steps.
Friday – God’s Faithfulness is New Every Morning
We ended the week with the promise that God is faithful. Even when we are unfaithful, His commitment love for us never ends. We can never deplete the wonderful love God has for us.
Here’s the promise.
The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. – Lamentations 3:23
Make these confessions.
- I can never deplete the love of God.
- His love for me is renewed every morning.
- God is faithful, even when I am not.
- Thank you, God, for your great faithfulness to me.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
Every morning is a new beginning of God’s faithfulness to you.
That’s it for this week. I hope these promises have been a blessing to you. Go back through these promises and allow God to renew your mind with these truths from His Word.
