Saturday Review

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.

Monday – I Am God and I Never Change

We began the week with the promise that God never changes. We are constantly experiencing change, but God never changes. Since He never changes, His word never changes. He is a constant foundation you can build your life on.

Here’s the promise.

For I am the Lord, I do not change. – Malachi 3:6

Make These Confessions.
  • My God never changes.
  • He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
  • Since God never changes, His word never changes.
  • He will fulfill every promise He has made.
  • In an everchanging world, God is my stable foundation.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

As you face a changing world today, remember, God never changes, and what He has promised, He will bring to pass.

Tuesday – You Are Blessed With Every Spiritual Blessing

On Tuesday, we claimed the promise that we are blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ. You don’t have to wait for heaven to experience the blessings of God. Right now, in Christ, you can live a blessed life!

Here’s the promise.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places. – Ephesians 1:3

Make these confessions.
  • God has blessed me with every spiritual blessing.
  • I don’t have to wait for heaven to experience the blessings of God.
  • The Holy Spirit is blessing me today.
  • Today, I walk in the blessing and favor of God.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

If you are facing a difficult time, remember you are blessed by the Lord. You walk in every spiritual blessing available. You can face every challenge because you have the blessing of God.

Wednesday – You Are Created in the Image of God

Midway through the week, we celebrated the promise that we are made in the image of God. We are not accidents; we are the handiwork of the great creator God.

Here’s the promise

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. – Genesis 1:27

Makes these confessions.
  • I am created by God.
  • I am made in His image.
  • I may be marred by sin, but God’s image is in me.
  • I am a reflection of the great, creative God.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

You are not an accident. God created you in His image with a purpose in mind. You bring glory to God when you live as the person God created you to be.

Thursday – You Have the Holy Spirit.

On Thursday, we saw how the Holy Spirit lives in us. When you gave your heart to Christ, the Holy Spirit took up residence in you. Everything God is doing in your life today, He does through the Holy Spirit.

Here’s the promise.

Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive, for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. – John 7:39

Make these confessions.
  • I have the Holy Spirit dwelling in me.
  • I have the fruit of the Spirit growing in me.
  • I am empowered to be a witness for Christ.
  • The Holy Spirit convicts me of sin so I can walk in obedience to Christ.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

Everything God is doing in the world today; He is doing through His Holy Spirit. That same Spirit dwells within you today.

Friday – God’s Lovingkindness Flows Over You.

We ended the week with the promise that God’s lovingkindness flows over us. Lovingkindness is God’s commitment love to His people. God’s lovingkindness is His grace, mercy, and love all mixed into one. It is God’s lovingkindness that continues to love you even when you are disobedient or in rebellion against Him.

Here’s today’s promise.

The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness. – Psalm 103:8

Make these confessions.
  • God’s lovingkindness is pouring over me today.
  • I cannot go beyond his love and grace for me.
  • When I am disobedient, He calls me back to Himself.
  • He is ready with love, mercy, and grace to meet my every need.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

No matter where you are with the Lord today, His lovingkindness is pouring over you. You cannot fall far enough that His lovingkindness won’t reach down and pull you up.

That’s it for this week. I hope these promises have been a blessing to you. Go back through these promises and allow God to renew your mind with these truths from His Word. Share one of these promises with a friend or family member. Everyone can use an encouraging word from God’s Word.

I know all the preachers say it but I can’t find in the Bible where the Holy Spirit convicts believers of sin. There are 4 verses that are interpreted that way but three of them are addressed to unbelievers. The 4th is where Paul is talking of standing up in the church and prophesying which we don’t do anymore. There are many other ways God handles this: God Himself Heb 12; Jesus Rev 3:19; Spiritual Leaders 1Tim 5:20, 2 Tim 4:2; Paul, Ep 5:13; other believers Gal 6:1, James 5:19, Matt 18:15,Luke 17:32: 2 Tim 3:16.
