This Week’s Promises
Proverbs 12:2 | Hebrews 4:12 | Psalm 71:14 | John 15:8 | Romans 8:38-39
Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.
Monday – Living in God’s Favor
We began the week with the promise that as a child of God, we walk in the favor of God. The righteousness of Christ in us releases the favor of God on us.
Here’s the promise.
A good man will obtain favor from the Lord, But He will condemn a man who devises evil. – Proverbs 12:2
Make these confessions.
- I walk in the favor and blessing of God.
- God placed the righteousness of Christ in me.
- I allow what God did in my heart to flow into every area of my life.
- God’s goodness in me releases His favor on me.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
As you allow the righteousness of Christ to fill every area of your life, you will walk in the favor and blessing of God.
Tuesday – God’s Word is Sharper than a Sword
On Tuesday, we saw how the Word of God is living and powerful. The Bible is not a historical book. It is a living love letter written to God’s children.
God’s Word is a living and powerful book that can heal your heart, change your thinking, and empower your living.
Here’s the promise.
For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. – Hebrews 4:12
Make these confessions.
- The Bible is a living love letter from God.
- As I read the Bible, God speaks to my heart.
- The Bible energizes my heart and heals my hurt.
- The Bible teaches me who I am in Christ and how much God loves me.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
God’s Word is a living and powerful book that can heal your heart, change your thinking, and empower your living.
Wednesday – I Will Trust the Lord
Midway through the week, we agreed with the Psalmist that we would trust in the Lord.
God fills us with praise and thankfulness when we place our hope in Christ. Our hearts overflow with praise to the One who always keeps His promise.
Here’s the promise.
But as for me, I will hope continually, And will praise You yet more and more. – Psalm 71:14
Make these Confessions.
- I put my complete faith and trust in the Lord.
- I wait with patient confidence, knowing God will fulfill His promise.
- No matter what others do, I will trust in the Lord.
- My heart is filled with praise because God always fulfills His promise to me.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
Praise and worship are always the expressions of complete faith and trust in the Lord.
Thursday – Be Thankful Because God is Good
On Thursday, we stopped to give thanks for all the blessings we have received. We are thankful because God is good, and His commitment love for us is forever.
Here’s the promise.
Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, For His lovingkindness is everlasting. – Psalm 107:1
Make these confessions.
- Thank you, Father, for your goodness and care for me.
- Thank you for blessing me in ways I easily forget.
- Thank you that your love is never-ending.
- Thank you for the salvation I have in Jesus Christ.
In Jesus’ name.
Amen
I recently saw a post that read, what if you woke up today with only the things you thanked God for yesterday? We can all be more thankful.
Friday – Nothing Will Separate You From the Love of God
On Friday, we celebrated the promise that nothing can separate us from the Love of God.
God’s love has no limits, and His love abounds even when we are unfaithful.
Nothing you can do will keep you away from the Love of God. Your biggest failure and worst defeat will not separate you from God’s love. He loves you with an unlimited, unbridled love that will never end.
Here’s the promise.
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 8:38-39
Make these Confessions.
- Nothing can separate me from God’s love.
- There is nothing I can do that will keep God from loving me.
- No seen or unseen force can limit God’s love for me.
- I am loved and accepted by God.
- Nothing can change that fact.
In Jesus’ Name
Amen
No other promise compares to the promise that nothing can separate you from the love of God.
That’s it for this week. I hope these promises have been a blessing to you. Go back through these promises and allow God to renew your mind with these truths from His Word. Share one of these promises with a friend or family member. Everyone can use an encouraging word from God’s Word.
Which of these promises were especially meaningful to you? Share it in the comments below.
While I treasure Friday’s promise, the promise of God’s favor in my life because of Christ’s righteousness in me, means God is pleased with me. I want God to be pleased with me.
