Saturday Review
This Week’s Promises
Proverbs 18:10 | Romans 14:8 | Psalm 55:22 | Galatians 2:20 | Romans 6:11
Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.
Monday – God is Your Strong Tower
We began the week seeing How God is our strong tower. When we feel attacked, unsafe, or afraid, we can run to Him.
As our strong tower, Jesus will be our place of refuge and security. He will be our point of reference for living and will watch over us.
Here’s the promise.
The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous runs into it and is safe. – Proverbs 18:10
Make these confessions.
- Jesus is my strong tower.
- Jesus is watching over me everywhere I go.
- Today, I rest in the protection and care of the Lord.
- When I face a problem, I will run to Him for refuge.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
When you feel like you just can’t take it any longer, run to the strong tower of the Lord. He will protect and empower you.
Tuesday – We Are the Lord’s
On Tuesday, we claimed the promise that we are the Lord’s. No matter what situation we find ourselves in, it does not change who we are.
Knowing who you are is important, but knowing whose you are is even more important. Life changes when you understand whose you are.
Here’s the promise.
For if we live, we live for the Lord, or if we die, we die for the Lord; therefore whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. – Romans 14:8
Makes these confessions.
- I am the Lord’s.
- Whether I live or die, I am still the Lord’s.
- He has made me His child and will take care of me now and in the future.
- Praise God for His grace and love that is poured out on me.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
When all is said and done, it doesn’t matter who you are as much as it matters whose you are.
Wednesday – Jesus Will Carry Your Burdens
Midway through the week, we discovered that we can throw all our burdens on the Lord.
Sometimes, you just never know what life is going to bring you. When we put our trust in Christ, He will strengthen and keep us secure.
Here’s the promise.
Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken. – Psalm 55:22
Make these confessions
- Right now, I throw all my burdens on the Lord.
- I confess Jesus is my security, strength, and comfort.
- He will never leave me or forsake me.
- He will keep me on solid ground no matter what life brings.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
God invites us to throw all our burdens and cares on Him. He is faithful to care for us, no matter what life throws our way.
Thursday – God Loves You More Than You Can Imagine
On Thursday, we learned that God’s love is beyond our understanding.
In the same way that it’s impossible to comprehend the vastness of the universe, we can never fully understand the depth of God’s love for each of us.
There is no end to the incredible commitment love God has for us. It is never-ending and beyond comprehension.
Here’s the promise.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His faithful love toward those who fear Him. – Psalm 103:11
Make these confessions.
- God’s love for me is beyond my understanding.
- His commitment love is never-ending and will never fail.
- God is pouring out His love, grace, mercy, and compassion on me.
- I can rest in His unfathomable love for me today.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
We may not be able to understand it, but we can rest in the incredible love God has for us. His commitment love for us will never end and never fail.
Friday – You Are Dead to Sin
We ended the week with the promise that we are dead to sin but alive to Christ.
The power of sin in our lives has been broken. Sin no longer has control over us. Why? Because the Bible says we are dead.
Here’s the promise.
Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus. – Romans 6:11
Make these confessions.
- I am dead to my sin and my sinful nature.
- As a dead person, sin no longer has power over me.
- I am not the old person I once was.
- I am alive in Christ and walk as a new person in Him.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
God says we are dead to our sin and our old life. The good news is we are also alive to God in Christ.
That’s it for this week. I hope these promises have been a blessing to you. Go back through these promises and allow God to renew your mind with these truths from His Word. Share one of these promises with a friend or family member. Everyone can use an encouraging word from God’s Word.
