The Holy Spirit Leads You

For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
Romans 8:14

The Holy Spirit
Jesus promised the Holy Spirit would come and lead those who follow Him. Today, we look at four important truths about the Holy Spirit leading us.

There are only two kinds of people in this world; those led by the Holy Spirit and those led by their own desires.

As a follower of Christ, the Holy Spirit speaks to you and leads you in the way you should go. You don’t have to reached a certain level of spiritual maturity or have a special anointing to be led by the Spirit.

Jesus promised the Holy Spirit to all who would follow Him. If you are born again through faith in Christ Jesus, the Holy Spirit is in you and leading you today.

Here are four things about being led by the Holy Spirit.

1. Listen for His Voice
You must listen for His voice to be led by the Holy Spirit. The Old Testament prophet Elijah in 1 Kings 18, discovered that God doesn’t speak through the wind, earthquake, or fire. God speaks through a still, small voice. If you are not careful, you can miss the Spirit’s voice in the midst of the noise and distraction.

2. Tune Your Heart
To be led by the Spirit, you must tune your heart to His voice. You must listen for His voice and prompting in every situation.

3. Obey What You Hear
To be led by the Holy Spirit, you must obey what you hear. God doesn’t speak to us, so we can decide if we are going to obey. God reveals Himself to those who are open and obedient to His will.

4. He Leads Step by Step
The Holy Spirit leads you step-by-step. God rarely gives you the big picture or the final destination. Like a spiritual GPS, He only reveals the next step you should take.

The more you keep your spiritual ears open and obey what you hear, the more you will find the Holy Spirit speaking to you. He will lead and direct you as never before.

Look at that promise again.

For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. – Romans 8:14

Make these confessions.

  • As a child of God, the Holy Spirit leads me.
  • The Holy Spirit speaks in a still, small voice.
  • The Holy Spirit leads me one step at a time.
  • The more I listen for His voice, the more He leads me through the day.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

As a Christian, the still small voice of the Holy Spirit is leading and guiding you. Listen for His voice today.

He has guided and protected me even when I was in a backslider stat. Also when I needed direction in different ventures.

Thanks for the guidance. The music is both annoying and distracting. Really hard to listen to.
