Today’s Promise

March 28, 2025

You Prosper in Whatever You Do

He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers.
Psalm 1:3

Prosperity

God promises you will prosper in all you do when you delight in God’s Word and His presence.

The Psalmist uses “he” in this promise, but the principle applies to everyone. When you line up your life with the Word of God, you will prosper.

The Word “Prosper” means to succeed at what you do. It’s not a guarantee of financial blessing. This promise does not say you will live like the rich and famous if you read your Bible.

Delight in God’s Word

However, when you delight or line up your life according to the Word of God, you will gain wisdom. Wisdom is the ability to know how to live. Wisdom allows you to make good choices that lead to successful living.

Too many people sacrifice their family and other relationships just to climb the corporate ladder and “succeed” in their careers.

When you live according to the Word of God, you gain the wisdom to make the right career choices, accept the right projects, and find the right places to focus your energy.

True Prosperity

True prosperity is success in every area of life. You have success in your relationships, career, and your finances.

This doesn’t mean you have a magic plan that guarantees success in everything you do, but you will have the wisdom to know what is worth doing and what is not.

Your prosperity is a reflection of living life according to God’s Word. It becomes a witness to the world around you of God’s guidance and grace in your life.

Your prosperity is not a reflection of your hard work and brilliance. It is the blessing of God as you line up your life with His Word.

Look at that verse again.

He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers. – Psalm 1:3

Make these confessions.

  • As I delight in God’s Word, I prosper.
  • I have the wisdom to make wise choices.
  • I succeed in my career, relationships, and finances.
  • I have true success as I delight in God’s Word

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

There is great value in living life according to the Word of God. Your prosperity is a reflection of the importance of living life delighting in the Word.
