You Walk in God’s Favor
A good man will obtain favor from the Lord, But He will condemn a man who devises evil.
Proverbs 12:2
God’s Favor
We all want to walk in God’s favor. To walk in His favor, we must walk in obedience to Him.
If you are like me, I want to live in the favor and blessing of God. I want to experience everything God has for me. I don’t want to get to heaven and find I have missed out on most of God’s blessings. I want to receive every blessing God has for me.
This promise gives us a clue about living in the blessing of God. The proverb says a “good” man will live in God’s favor. “Good” means pure, straightforward, or free from evil thoughts. A good person is fully committed to the ways of the Lord. His single focus is walking in obedience to Christ.
Goodness is not something you work for but something you receive. Jesus said that no one is good but God. Goodness comes from God’s grace working in your life. Walking in God’s favor is walking in God’s grace.
Here is the key to walking in God’s favor.
When you became a Christian, God did an amazing work in your spirit. He imparted the righteousness of Jesus to you. When you allow that righteousness to flow into every area of your life, you begin walking in God’s favor.
Walking in righteousness is lining up all your habits, attitudes, and actions with what God has done in you.
As you learn to walk in obedience to God and allow His righteousness to show up in your daily living, you will experience God’s blessing and favor.
Remember, God wants to bless you more than you can imagine. Make it your goal today to walk in God’s favor.
Look at that promise again.
A good man will obtain favor from the Lord, But He will condemn a man who devises evil. – Proverbs 12:2
Make these confessions.
- I walk in the favor and blessing of God.
- God placed the righteousness of Christ in me.
- I allow what God did in my heart to flow into every area of my life.
- God’s goodness in me releases His favor on me.
- In Jesus’ name,
Amen
As you allow the righteousness of Christ to fill every area of your life, you will walk in the favor and blessing of God.
