Today’s Promise

Christ is in Me

Galatians 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

More Than Forgiveness of Sin

When you came to Christ, God did more than forgive your sins and provide heaven when you die. Those two things are incredible on their own, but just like God, He took it to the next level.

When you came to Christ, Jesus came into your heart; He took up residence in you. That’s a little hard to wrap your mind around, but the Spirit of Christ is in you.

Christ in you is more than just symbolic or metaphoric; Jesus literally took up residence in you. Today, I want to give you a few things to consider when it comes to Jesus in you.

You Are a New Person

When Christ came into you, He made you a new person. The person you were before you came to Christ is dead and gone. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says that you are a new creation. Your old sinful heart was transformed and reborn into a heart that longs to walk in fellowship and obedience to Christ.

Since Christ is in you, He is always with you. Just because you don’t always feel His presence doesn’t mean He isn’t with you. No matter where you go, Jesus is there with you. Because of this, you bring Jesus into every conversation, meeting, or situation. When you walk into a room, Jesus comes with you.

God Speaks to Your Heart

Since Christ is in you, He speaks to your heart. God speaks to you in many ways. He may speak as you read the Bible, or as you hear a message or sermon from your pastor. He may also speak to you through fellow Christians. Whatever the situation, God speaks to your heart. Since Christ dwells in your heart or spirit, it makes sense that He speaks to your heart. Through the years, I have heard

God’s voice in my heart as clearly as if I had heard it audibly.

Since Christ is in you, He leads you. If you listen, you will be amazed at how God leads you throughout your day. If you allow Him, He will guide you through His spirit and direct you.

Look at that promise again.

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. – Galatians 2:20

Make these confessions today.

  • I have Jesus dwelling in me.
  • Jesus leads me throughout my day.
  • I am a new person in Jesus Christ.
  • Wherever I go today, Jesus goes with me.

In Jesus name
Amen

You have Jesus living in you. You have been made new in Him, and wherever you go, He is there with you. He speaks to you and leads you throughout your day.
