Today’s Promise

Psalm 1:3

He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.

This week we are looking at one verse that includes five different promises.

Today we are focusing on “and in whatever he does, he prospers.” The Psalmist uses the word, “he” but it applies anyone, male or female.

When you delight in the Word of God and focus on living in His presence, you prosper.

“Prosper” means to succeed at what you do. It’s not a guarantee of financial blessing. This promise is not saying, if you read your Bible you will live like the rich and famous.

When you delight or line up your life in accordance to the Word of God, you gain wisdom. Wisdom is the ability to know how to live. Wisdom is the outcome of a life lived in line with God’s word. When you live life according to the Word of God you gain the wisdom to make the right career choices, know what projects you should attempt and where you should put your energy.

Too many people sacrifice their family, and other relationships just to climb the corporate ladder and “succeed” in their career

True prosperity is success in every area of life. You have success in relationships, in your career and in your finances.

This doesn’t mean you have a magic plan that guarantees success in everything you attempt, but you have the wisdom to know what is worth doing and what is not.

Your prosperity is a reflection of the wisdom of living life according to God’s Word. It becomes a witness to the world around you of God guidance and grace in your life.

Your prosperity is not the result of your hard work and brilliance, but of the blessing of God as you line up your life with His word.

Look at that verse again,

He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers. – Psalm 1:3

Confess this with me,

As I delight in God’s word, I proper.
I have wisdom in making wise choices.
I prosper in my career, my relationships, and my finances.
My prosperity is a witness to the wisdom in living God’s way
I have true success as I delight in God’s Word

In Jesus Name,
Amen

There is great wisdom in living life according to the Word of God. Your prosperity is a reflection of the importance of living life delighting in the Word.
