Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the dawn, if I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, even there Your hand will lead me, And Your right hand will lay hold of me.
If you have ever felt like God was a thousand miles away, today’s promise is for you.
You are never alone. You may feel like the only person in the room, but God’s presence is always with you.
As a follower of Christ, you can be confident that you can never escape the presence of God.
The psalmist says if you go to the top of heaven or the bottom of the sea, God’s presence is there. If you travel from east to west at the speed of light, when you get there, you will find He is there waiting for you.
Theologians call this God’s omnipresence. God is not limited to time and space, He exists everywhere at the same time. No matter where you go, or how fast you get there, God is already there.
His presence is a reminder of His love for you. No matter where you go, you are always in His presence. If you are feeling lonely today, God’s presence is with you. If you feel all alone and that no one cares, remember, God is with you and He loves you.
Your Heavenly Father has promised to be with you and He will guide you throughout your day. He will lead you and will hold your hand no matter where you go.
Let’s review that promise one more time.
– Psalm 139:7-10
Confess this with me.
No matter where I go, God is with me.
I can never escape His presence or His guidance.
Even when I stray away from Him, He is always with me.
Today, He is guiding me and holding my hand.
In Jesus Name,
No matter where you go today, God is with you. His presence will lead you and hold on to you.
