Today’s Promise
He Keeps Me From Falling
Jude 24
To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy.
The book of Jude ends with this powerful benediction on the grand plan and purpose Jesus has for you.
Every day Jesus is watching over you to bring about His purpose. This promise gives you three things Jesus is doing in your life today.
First, He is keeping you from falling.
Salvation is about what Jesus has done and what He is doing in your life. Every day He is working to keep you from stumbling in your walk with God.
One day a young man asked his pastor if a person could lose their salvation. The pastor asked him, “Have you ever seen falling star?” The young man said, “Yes sir, I have.” The pastor said, “No, you haven’t. You may have seen a meteor, but you have never seen a falling star. You know it’s a meteor because stars don’t fall.”
In Jesus Christ, your salvation is secure. You did not earn your salvation, so you can’t lose your salvation. Jesus will keep you from falling.
Second, Jesus is working in you to present you blameless before God.
Because of what Christ did on the cross, your sin has been removed and you stand faultless before the throne of God. The blood of Jesus has made you clean and pure before God. Your shame and sin have been forgiven and removed. Every day Jesus is working in your life to help you live out the righteousness He has already imparted to you.
Third, He will present you with great joy!
Think about that for a moment. Jesus is overjoyed to present you to His Father. He is not ashamed or embarrassed by you. Like a young groom, beaming with pride to introduce His new wife, Jesus is full of joy at the thought of present you to His Father.
Look at that verse once again.
To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy. – Jude 24
Remember, Jesus is full of joy knowing He will present you to His Father.
Confess this with me.
Jesus is working in me to bring about his plan in my life.
Jesus keeps my salvation.
What I did not earn, I cannot lose.
Jesus blood has made me blameless before God.
Jesus has great joy in presenting me to God the Father.
