Today’s Promise

I Have Abundant Life

John 10:10

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

Jesus came to give you life.

Not just life, but abundant life, overflowing life, unending life; life that knows no limits. The word “Abundant” means “far beyond that which is necessary.

The abundant life Jesus promised is not only a quantity of life but a quality of life. Abundant life is for here and for all of eternity.

Abundant life is eternal life. There is no fear of death for the Christian. We know that when we close our eyes in death, we open them in the presence of God. We will spend eternity in His presence, enjoying the wonders of heaven. We know He has prepared a place for each one of us to inhabit and enjoy. You don’t have to fear death because Jesus has promised you eternal life.

But we don’t have to wait for heaven to experience the abundant life.

The abundant life begins the day we give our heart to Christ. Abundant life isn’t just heaven when we die, but a quality of life right here and now.

As our good shepherd, Jesus gives us full satisfaction, perfect guidance, and complete protection.

It doesn’t mean we will never face a struggle or problem, but in the midst of our difficulties, we know He is there guiding and protecting us.

The first three fruits of the Spirit are love, joy, and peace. A life filled with love, joy, and peace is an abundant life.

Jesus came for you to live life to the fullest. So many Christians spend their life feeling guilty and ashamed. They have forgotten or have never been told that Jesus came to give them overflowing abundant life.

Today, embrace the abundant life Jesus promised.

Let’s review that promise again.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. – John 10:10

Confess this with me

In Jesus Christ, I have abundant life.
I Have eternal life when I die, and overflowing life from day to day.
He is my protection, my guide, and my provider.
Today I will live in the abundant life Jesus promised.

In Jesus Name,
Amen
