Today’s Promise

God Goes Before Me

Deuteronomy 1:30-31

The Lord your God who goes before you will Himself fight on your behalf, just as He did for you in Egypt before your eyes, and in the wilderness where you saw how the Lord your God carried you, just as a man carries his son.

The Children of God faced a crisis of faith as they stood on the edge of the Promised Land.

The land was indeed fertile, fruitful, and good, but it was filled with giants. Would they face their enemy with trust and obedience to God, or would they turn in fear?

I love that first phrase, “your God who goes before you,” it is said with such confidence.

Sometimes I forget that God is going before me, that He is clearing the way for me. Imagine going through your day with the King of Glory clearing your path like the secret service goes before the President.

Have you ever faced a giant? Maybe not a physical one, but giants come in many forms. They can be financial, relational, or even personal. Giants are intimidating, threatening, and frightening. Maybe you are facing a giant today.

Remember, your God goes before you and fights the battle on your behalf.

What would you attempt today if you were absolutely convinced God was going before you?

How many of your giants would fall if you truly believed that God was fighting your battles for you?

Today, as you are faced with challenges, problems, and giants, remember God is going before. When the enemy attacks, God will fight the battle. When it seems like you can’t go on, He will carry you in His loving arms.

Look at that promise one more time.

The LORD your God who goes before you will Himself fight on your behalf, just as He did for you in Egypt before your eyes, and in the wilderness where you saw how the LORD your God carried you, just as a man carries his son. – Deuteronomy 1:30-31

Make This Declaration.

Today, God is going before me.
He is clearing the way.
When I face a giant or the enemy attacks, He will fight the battle for me.
When I feel like I can’t go on, Jesus will carry me in His loving arms.

I claim this promise in Jesus Name,
Amen
