Today’s Promise

Joy Comes in the Morning

Psalm 30:5

For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning.

If you have ever gotten up early to watch the sunrise, it’s something exhilarating and exciting to see.

Sunrise in the mountains is even better. As the sun’s rays peek over the mountain top, it’s a striking reminder that a new day has begun.

You may have had those nights where you tossed and turned, hoping for the morning. You may be going through a season of sorrow, pain, or uncertainty, and you think the dark night of your soul may never end. In the middle of your difficulty, it’s easy to get so focused on the problem that you think things will never change.

Weeping lasts for the night, but not forever.

It is just for a season, not a lifetime. We all face problems, but they don’t last.

It may be hard to believe now, but joy will come. The pain will fade, the heartbreak will heal, and the sunrise of a new day will soon be here.

Now I am not downplaying the pain you may be going through right now; I know sometimes life is just hard. But the morning is coming, and a new day is about to begin.

The sun will rise, and a new season will emerge.

The only thing that lasts forever is God’s love. Think about that for a moment. As a child of God, you have the favor of God, and that favor will last your entire life. That favor will last for an eternity. His love rests on you even in your darkest night. It is His love and favor that brings the new day and joy in the morning.

Look at the promise one more time.

For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, But a shout of joy comes in the morning. – Psalms 30:5

Declare this with me.

Sorrow lasts for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
My darkest night will pass and morning is just about to dawn
God is bringing a new day of joy and favor.
Today I rest in the favor of God.
By faith, I shout for joy at the new morning God is bringing.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

My sister was in a diabetic coma for a week.. Prayers from all.. This morning she is awake, eating ice & drinking water! The doctor says he will try feeding her today or tomorrow! God is Good!
