Today’s Promise

God is Working in Me

Philippians 2:13

For it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.

When it comes to the Christian life, it all begins in the heart.

God works in your heart to bring about His will and desire. How you act and how you live is directly connected to what is going on in your heart. As your heart goes, so goes the rest of your life. Right now, the Holy Spirit is working in you to bring about obedience and service to Him.

Too many Christians obey from outside pressure instead of through the power of Christ in them. They adopt a list of “do’s” and “don’t.” They try and “live right” without allowing God to change them from the inside out.

Many Christians think God is more interested in their actions than He is their attitude.

True obedience comes from the heart and shows itself in action. Everything you do for God must begin with a desire to please God. God works in your heart and builds new desires for obedience and service to Him.

The Christian life is all about allowing the Holy Spirit to transform and empower your thinking so that your outward actions are a result of your inward transformation.

Right now, God is working in your life.

He is transforming your thinking and creating new desires of obedience and service to Christ. The desire to be all God wants you to be didn’t begin with you, it began with God working in your heart.

As you allow God to transform and empower your heart, you will find new strength and power to live the Christian life in victory and service to Christ.

Look at that promise again.

For it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure. – Philippians 2:13

Make this declaration with me.

Right now, God is working in my life.
His Holy Spirit is working in me to bring about obedience to Christ.
God gives me the desire to obey and serve Him.
God is working in me, so He can work through me.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Today, allow God to work in you, so you work for His good pleasure.
