Today’s Promise

The More I Know God, The More I Trust Him

Psalm 9:10

And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.

When you know the Lord, you trust the Lord.

The more you know Him, the more you trust Him. You learn about the Lord through His word. The Bible gives you a clear understanding of who God is and what He is like. The Bible shows you  the character of God and how He worked in the lives of people like you and me. The more you read the Gospels, the more you know about Jesus. Jesus said, if you have seen Him, you have seen the Father.

You don’t just know facts about God, you truly know Him by name.

Through your faith in Christ, you have the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you throughout your day. The Holy Spirit takes the Word of God and lives it out in your life.

On a practical basis, the longer you walk with the Lord, the more you experience His protection, leadership, and love. You know He will never forsake you because He has always been with you through every battle, struggle, and difficulty.

You know that when you knock on God’s door, He always answers and is ready to come to your aid.

You know that in your darkest times, He has been with you. You know that He is your refuge when the world is falling apart around you. You know by experience that He can be trusted to bring about your good.

You know and recognize His voice. He knows your name as well. You call him daddy, and He calls you by name.

As you grow in your walk with God, your trust in Him grows deeper every day.

Make this confession.

  • The more I know the Lord, the more I trust Him.
  • My trust in the Lord is growing day by day.
  • I know the name of the Lord, and He knows my name.
  • He will never forsake me because He is trustworthy.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

There is one thing those who know the name of the Lord will always confess; God is faithful and trustworthy. He always comes to the aid of His children.
