Review Saturday

This Week’s Scriptures

Galatians 3:29 1 Corinthians 10:13 | 2 Corinthians 10:5 | Psalm 84:11 | Proverbs 3:11-12

Saturday is review day on the Daily Promise.

Every Saturday we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow God’s word to go deep in our hearts. So let’s get started.

We began the week seeing how we are heirs to the promises of God.

Here’s the promise.

And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise. – Galatians 3:29

Make this confession.

In Christ, I have been born again into God’s family.
I am an heir of Christ.
As an heir of Christ, I have every promise of God.
My inheritance in Christ is based on nothing but faith in Him.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

On Tuesday, we saw how we have victory over temptation.

The promise is found in 1 Corinthians 10:13.

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. – 1 Corinthians 10:13

Here’s the confession.

My temptations are no different than anyone else’s.
God controls what temptations come into my life.
God limits the temptations I face and always provides a way to escape them.
In Jesus Christ, I have victory over every temptation.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Midway through the week we learned how we can take every thought captive.

It all begins with how we think. Here’s the promise.

We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ. – 2 Corinthians 10:5

Confess this after me.

I have the mind of Christ in me.
I am taking every thought captive.
I am capturing every wrong thought early.
I am transforming my mind by dwelling on God’s Word.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

On Thursday we saw how God is our protection and covering.
Here’s the promise.

For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. – Psalm 84:11

Confess this.

Father, thank you for being my sun and for being my shield.
Thank you for Your warmth, light, and direction.
Thank you for your protection throughout the day.
Today You are pouring over me your grace and glory.
Keep me close to you and every blessing you have for me.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

We wrapped up the week seeing how God disciplines His children in love.

Here’s the promise.

My son, do not despise the LORD’s discipline or be weary of his reproof, for the LORD reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights. – Proverbs 3:11-12

Confess this after me.

God’s discipline is always for my good.
Because He loves me, He tests and stretches my faith.
I don’t always enjoy discipline, but it makes me spiritual mature.
I welcome His discipline because it makes me more like Him.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

That’s it for this week. I hope you will be in church tomorrow fellowshipping with other believers and worshiping God together.

While you are at church tomorrow, take a moment and tell someone about the Daily Promise.

Come back Monday where I’ll have another promise from God’s word.
