Review Saturday

This Week’s Scriptures

Judges 6:12| Matthew 11:28-29 | Isaiah 54:17 | Psalm 32:8 | Psalm 37:39-40

Saturday is review day on the Daily Promise.

We began the week discovering that God sees more in us then we see in ourselves.

Here’s the promise.

The angel of the LORD appeared to him and said to him, “The LORD is with you, O valiant warrior.” – Judges 6:12

Make This Confession.

How I see myself is unimportant.
How God sees me is what matters.
Today, I will live the life God has for me.
I will be all He sees in me.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

On Tuesday, we found our rest in Jesus.

Here’s the promise.

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. – Matthew 11:28-29

Make this confession.

In Jesus Christ I find rest.
I am not burdened by my past sin.
I have rest from my past guilt, shame, and regret.
Today, by faith, I claim my rest in Christ.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Midway through the week, we talked about spiritual warfare and how no weapon of the enemy will stand against us.

Here’s the promise

No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their vindication is from Me,” declares the Lord.Isaiah 54:17

Confess this with me.

Every attack that comes against me will fail.
I claim the protection of my heavenly father.
I stand in faith today that no weapon formed against me.
And no accusation made toward me will succeed.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

On Thursday, we saw how God leads and guides us.

The promise is in Psalm 32:8

I will instruct you and show you the way to go; with My eye on you, I will give counsel. – Psalm 32:8

Make this confession.

God is directing and teaching me today.
I am led and taught by the Holy Spirit.
I am staying close to God so I can follow His leadership.
He is counseling me on the daily decisions of life.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

We ended the week celebrating the fact that God delivers us from every attack of the enemy.

Here’s the promise.

The salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; he is their stronghold in the time of trouble. The LORD helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him. – Psalm 37:39-40

Confess this.

My salvation comes from the Lord.
I take refuge in the Name of the Lord.
He will deliver me from the enemy’s hand.
I am safe and secure because God is my protection.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

That’s it for this week. Tomorrow is the Lord’s day, I hope you will be in a church worshiping the Lord and hearing His word.

Take a moment and share one of the promises we learned this week, it will encourage a friend and help you remember the promise.

the promise mentioned on Tuesday, “Come to me all who labor. . .and you will find rest for your souls”. reminded me of one of the numbers that the college choir I attended, performed— the “Statue of Liberty”, between the 2 verses we placed the statement that is on the statue- “give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free; send these, the homeless tempest tossed to me—I lift my lamp beside the golden shore. this freedom is limited to America, but I present to you another quote from our Lord and Savior, in Mathew, Jesus said Come unto me all who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” as we placed this between the verses of the song, it really improved the quality of the meaning of the song.
