Review Saturday

This Week’s Scriptures

2 Corinthians 5:1| Psalm 103:12 | Romans 8:38-39 | Matthew 6:33 | Hebrews 13:5

Every Saturday we review the promises we learned during the week. So we can allow God’s word to go deep in our hearts.

We began the week seeing how God has given us an eternal body.

For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.  – 2 Corinthians 5:1

Here’s the confession.

My body is aging and will one day fail me.
In Jesus Christ, I have a new, eternal body.
When I pass from this life into eternity,
I will receive a new and eternal body handmade by God.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

On Tuesday, we celebrated how our sin has been removed.

As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. – Psalm 103:12

Make this confession.

In Jesus Christ, my sins have been removed.
My sin is as far from me as the east is from the west.
I no longer live in shame or guilt.
Jesus has forgiven and removed my sin.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Midway through the week, we were reminded that nothing can separate us from the love of Christ.

For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 8:38-39

Confess this with me.

Nothing can separate me from the love of Christ.
No matter what situation I am in, Jesus still loves me.
Even my own sin and rebellion can’t keep me from the love of Jesus.
Today, I live in the complete love of Christ.

In Jesus Name,
Amen.

On Thursday, we saw that as we make seeking the kingdom of Christ our priority, everything else in life falls into place.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. – Matthew 6:33

Here’s the confession.

As I seek the kingdom of God everything else is added to me.
As I make following Christ my priority all the other things I have been seeking fall into place.
Today I make the kingdom of God my priority.
I look forward to all God brings into my life.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Finally, on Friday, we reviewed how no matter what our situation, God will never leave or forsake us.

Your life should be free from the love of money. Be satisfied with what you have, for He Himself has said, I will never leave you or forsake you. – Hebrews 13:5

Make this confession.

God will never leave me or forsake me.
God can use me because He is with me.
No matter what I do, God will never forsake me.
I am never alone because God is with me.

In Jesus name,
Amen
