This Week’s Scriptures

John 14:3 | Lamentations 3:23 | 1 John 2:1 | 1 John 4:4 | Luke 19:4-5

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise.

Each Saturday, we review the promises of the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts and lives.

We began the week celebrating the promise that Jesus will return for us. We don’t know when, but one day Christ will return for you and me.

Here’s the promise.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. – John 14:3

Make this confession today.

Jesus is preparing a special place for me in heaven.
When He returns, I will spend eternity in His presence.
I don’t know when He will return, but I am living like it will be today.
When He returns, He will establish His eternal kingdom.

In Jesus name,
Amen

On Tuesday, we saw that God is faithful.

You can never deplete His commitment love toward you; it is new every morning.

Here’s the promise.

The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. – Lamentations 3:23

Make this confession.

I can never deplete the love of God.
His love for me is renewed every morning.
God is faithful, even when I am not.
Thank you, God, for your great faithfulness to me.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Midway throughout the week, we saw how Christ is your advocate before the Father.

Jesus stands before God on your behalf. When God sees you, He sees the righteousness of Jesus.

Here’s the promise.

My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. – 1 John 2:1

Make this confession.

God has called me to live a holy life.
If I sin, I have Jesus to stand before God on my behalf.
My sin has been forgiven and removed by the blood of Jesus.
Jesus is my advocate before the Father.

In Jesus name,
Amen

On Thursday, we discovered that Satan and his forces have no power over us.

The Spirit in you is greater than the spirit of the world.

Here’s the promise.

You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. – 1 John 4:4

Make this confession.

I do not fear Satan or any demonic force.
I hold to the truth that Jesus is the messiah.
Because of the Spirit in me, Satan or his demons cannot harm me.
Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.

In Jesus name,
Amen

We ending the week with the assurance that Jesus knows our name.

Jesus knew Zaccheus by name, and He knows you by name as well.

So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree in order to see Him, for He was about to pass through that way. When Jesus came to the place, He looked up and said to him, “Zaccheus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house. – Luke 19:4-5

Here’s the confession.

I am important to God.
He knows my name.
God loves me and invites me into an intimate relationship with Him.
He calls me by name to follow Him.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

That’s it for this week. I hope these promises were a blessing to you. Take a moment and share what you learn this week. Allow God to use you to encourage someone else. Sunday is the Lord’s day. I hope you will be in a church worshiping the Lord and hearing His word.
