Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise.

Every Saturday, we review the promises of the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts and lives.

We began the week seeing the importance of knowing God. The more we know Him, the more we trust Him.

Here’s the promise.

And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you. – Psalm 9:10

Make this confession.
  • The more I know the Lord, the more I trust Him.
  • My trust in the Lord is growing day by day.
  • I know the name of the Lord, and He knows my name.
  • He will never forsake me because He is trustworthy.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

On Tuesday we discovered the importance of placing our hope in the Lord.

Here’s the promise.

Be strong and let your heart take courage, All you who hope in the Lord. – Psalm 31:24

Confess this with me.
  • I put my hope in the Lord.
  • God is strengthening me as I hope in Him.
  • I have newfound courage through my hope in Christ.
  • One day my hope will be a reality as I see Him face to face.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Midway through the week, we saw how God is our lamp, and how He brings light in my darkness.

For you are my lamp, O Lord, and my God lightens my darkness. – 2 Samuel 22:29

Confess this with me.
  • God is my lamp.
  • He is bringing Clarity, protection, and guidance to me today
  • As I walk in His light, my fear is removed.
  • His light will keep me from stumbling.
  • God turns my darkness into light.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

On Thursday, we looked at the importance of focusing our minds on good things, not negative things.

Here’s the promise.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. – Philippians 4:8

Make this confession.
  • Today, I set my mind on the goodness of God.
  • I refuse to be negative, fearful, or worrisome.
  • I am a positive influence on the world around me.
  • The blessings of God are pouring over me today.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

We ended the week  learning how God comforts us when we are discouraged or depressed.

Here’s the promise.

But God, who comforts the depressed, comforted us by the coming of Titus. – 2 Corinthians 7:6

When you get discouraged or depressed, remember God is working on your behalf. You may not see it yet, but God is working to encourage and comfort you.

Make this confession.
  • Everyone faces times of discouragement and stress.
  • I should never feel guilty about being discouraged.
  • Though I may not see it, God is working to bring comfort and encouragement to me.
  • My Titus is just around the corner.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

That’s it for this week. I hope these five promises have been a blessing to you. Tomorrow is the Lord’s day, so I hope you will be in church, worshiping the Lord and hearing His Word.
