Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise.

Every Saturday, we review the promises of the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts and lives.

We started the week talking about how we have victory in Christ. He has made us overcomes through His blood and sacrifice.

Here’s the promise.

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. – 1 John 5:4

Make this confession.
  • Through faith, I overcome the world.
  • I will not allow the world to seduce me into its ways.
  • Jesus sealed my victory on the cross.
  • I don’t have to wait for heaven to experience the victorious Christian life.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

On Tuesday, we focused our attention on how God has chosen us as His children.

Here’s the promise.

You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain. – John 15:16

Confess this with me.
  • Before I even knew Him, God chose me.
  • I had and have nothing to offer Him.
  • It was His incredible love that reached out to me.
  • I am His child today because He loves me so much.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Midway through the week, we saw when we feel we are out on a limb, God secures our steps and upholds us with His strength.

Look at that promise.

He made my feet like the feet of a deer and set me secure on the heights. – 2 Samuel 22:34

Confess this with me.
  • When I feel I am out on a limb, God will secure my steps.
  • He will set my feet on stable ground.
  • I will not worry, for He will keep me from falling.
  • God is leading me to new heights in him.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

On Thursday, we celebrated the joy-filled Christian life. Jesus promised us His joy through our relationship with Him.

Look at that promise again.

These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. – John 15:11

Confess this with me.
  • God desires for me to live a joy-filled life.
  • As I walk in fellowship Christ, I live in joy.
  • I experience complete joy as I walk in His presence.
  • His joy gives me the strength to face anything life throws my way.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

We finished the week seeing how God is thinking of us, and we are always on His mind.

Here is the promise.

How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand. When I awake, I am still with You. – Psalm 139:17-18 (NASB)

Confess this with me.
  • Right now, God is thinking about me.
  • I am on His heart and His mind.
  • He thinks of me so often that I could never count or comprehend His thought about me.
  • As my loving Father, I am always on His mind.
  • Even in the middle of the night, God is thinking of me.

In Jesus Name.
Amen

That’s it for this week. I hope these five promises have been a blessing to you. Tomorrow is the Lord’s day, so I hope you will be in church, worshiping the Lord and hearing His Word.

Take a moment and share one of these promises with a friend. We all need an encouraging word from God’s Word.

In the comments section, share which of these promises was most meaningful to you.
