Review Saturday

This Week’s Scriptures

Galatians 6:9 | 2 Corinthians 5:7 | Romans 6:6-7 | 2 Corinthians 12:9 | Colossians 3:16

Saturday is review day on the Daily Promise.

Every Saturday we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow God’s word to go deep in our hearts. So let’s get started.

We began the week by seeing how God honors our persistence. When we are obedient and faithful, the harvest will come.

The promise is found in Galatians 6:9

Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. – Galatians 6:9

Make this confession.

I will not lose heart.
I will continue to plant the seeds God has given me.
Day by day, God is growing the seeds that I plant.
I will be faithful until I see the harvest God is bringing.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

On Tuesday, we confessed that we walk by faith, not sight.

Here’s the promise in 2 Corinthians 5:7

For we walk by faith, not by sight. – 2 Corinthians 5:7

Confess this with me.

I live by faith and not by sight.
My focus is on the invisible kingdom of God, not what I see and touch.
I am trusting that what God has said, He will do.
I am listening for His voice and walking in obedience to Him today.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

On Wednesday we confessed our freedom from the power of sin.

The promise is Romans 6:6-7

We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. For one who has died has been set free from sin. – Romans 6:6-7

Make this Confession.

In Jesus Christ, I am dead to sin.
Sin no longer has power over me.
My old self is dead, and my new self is alive and desires to please God.
Jesus has set me free from sin.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

On Thursday, we learned how God’s grace is enough for every situation.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9

Confess this.

I have God’s unmerited favor working in my life.
His grace gives me strength, power, and comfort.
No matter what I face, God’s grace is enough for me.
I can face any situation because God’s grace is working in my life.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

We ended the week seeing how Christ’s word dwells in us.

The promise is Colossians 3:16

Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. – Colossians 3:16

Here’s the confession.

The word of Christ is at home in my heart.
I am completely yielded to the word of Christ.
The word of Christ empowers every area of my life.
I am growing in wisdom as I allow His word to richly dwell in me.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

That’s it for this week. Sunday is the Lord’s day, I hope you will be in a church worshiping the Lord and hearing His word.
