Review Saturday
This Week’s Scriptures
Romans 8:1 | Romans 8:15 | Romans 8:28 | Romans 8:37 | Romans 8:38-39
Saturday is review day on the Daily Promise.
Every Saturday we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow God’s word to go deep in our hearts. So let’s get started.
This week we have been discovering five promises found in chapter 8 of the book of Romans.
We began the week seeing how our sin no longer condemns us.
Here’s the promise.
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. – Romans 8:1
Confess this with me.
In Jesus Christ, my sin has been paid.
There is no condemnation on me.
I am free from the shame and guilt of my past.
In Jesus Name,
On Tuesday we were reminded that we are Children of God, not slaves of God.
For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father!” – Romans 8:15
Confess this.
In Jesus Christ, I am a child of God.
I am adopted into God’s family as His child.
I don’t live in fear because God is my Father.
I have received a spirit of adoption.
In Jesus Name,
Wednesday was the halfway point and we saw how God is always working for your good. Here’s the promise.
And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. – Romans 8:28
Confess this with me.
I know that whatever I face, God has a plan.
He is working for my good and His glory.
God can use everything for good that comes into my life.
In Jesus Name,
Thursday we saw how God always brings victory in our lives. Here’s the promise.
But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. – Romans 8:37
Confess this.
In Jesus Christ, I have overwhelming victory.
I have victory over fear, worry, and temptation.
I overcome every attack of Satan because Christ is in me.
Today, I am more than a conqueror.
In Jesus Name,
We ended the week with a look at how much God loves us.
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 8:38-39
Confess this with me.
Nothing can separate me from God’s love.
There is nothing I can do that will keep God from loving me.
I am loved and accepted by God.
Nothing can change that fact.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
Wow, God packed a lot of promise in this little Chapter. I hope it was a blessing to you.
That’s it for this week. Sunday is the Lord’s day, I hope you will be in a church worshiping the Lord and hearing His word.
The Daily Promise is now on Apple Podcast. It will really help if you would go to iTunes and give us a 5-star rating a leave a review.
Thanks for being a part of the daily promise family.
I’ll have a new post on Monday with a new set of God’s promises for the week. Until then I’m praying you love God with all your heart, all your soul and all your might. This is Billy Taylor, God’s Richest Blessings.
These daily promises have been an upliftment and edification to my Spirit. Thanks without end.
