Review Saturday

This Week’s Scriptures

John 16:33 | 2 Corinthians 5:17 | Deuteronomy 1:30-31 | Galatians 5:1 | Colossians 1:13

Saturday is review day on the Daily Promise.

Every Saturday we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow God’s word to go deep in our hearts. So let’s get started.

On Monday we claimed the promise that Jesus is our peace.

Here’s the promise.

I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.  John 16:33

Declare this with me.

Today, I have the peace of Christ.
Because He has overcome the world, He offers me peace.
In the midst of my storm, Jesus gives me peace.
As I face problems and difficulties, I know I have the peace of Christ resting on me.

In Jesus Name.
Amen

Tuesday we saw that we are new creatures in Christ.

The promise is found in 2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. – 2 Corinthians 5:17

Make this declaration.

In Jesus Christ, I am a new person.
My past doesn’t matter, my sin is forgiven, and Jesus dwells within me.
My old life died when I gave my life to Jesus.
I live as a new person free from my past, my failure, and my shame.
In Jesus Christ, I am a new creature, empowered to the new life Christ has for me.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Midway through the week, we saw how God goes before you.

The promise is found in Deuteronomy 1:30-31

The LORD your God who goes before you will Himself fight on your behalf, just as He did for you in Egypt before your eyes, and in the wilderness where you saw how the LORD your God carried you, just as a man carries his son. – Deuteronomy 1:30-31

Declare this with me.

Today, God is going before me.
He is clearing the way.
When I face a giant or the enemy attacks, He will fight the battle for me.
When I feel like I can’t go on, Jesus will carry me in His loving arms.
I claim this promise in Jesus Name,

Amen

On Thursday we celebrated the freedom we have in Christ.

Here’s the promise.

It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery. – Galatians 5:1

Make this declaration.

In Jesus Christ, I have freedom.
I am not under the law or any set of rules.
I live in an empowered, living relationship with Christ.
I will not allow myself to be brought back under bondage.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

We finished up the week seeing how God has delivered us from the Kingdom of Darkness.

Here’s the promise.

He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son. – Colossians 1:13

Declare this with me.

I am no longer a citizen of the kingdom of darkness.
I am now a citizen of the Kingdom of Christ.
Jesus is my Lord and King.
I live in victory today because Christ has made me part of His kingdom.

In Jesus name,
Amen

That’s it for this week. I hope these promises have been a blessing to you.
