Today’s Promise

God Delivers Me From Every Enemy

Psalm 37:39-40

The salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; he is their stronghold in the time of trouble. The Lord helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them because they take refuge in him.

When the Enemy Comes

Do you ever feel like the enemy has you in his sights? Ever feel like you walk around with a spiritual target on your back? When the enemy comes, you have one you can run to and find shelter, protection, and safety.

As a Christian, your salvation is in the Lord. You know when we die, you’re going to see Jesus face-to-face and enjoy the wonders of heaven for all eternity. However, God is not just your future salvation. He is your deliverer amid today’s battle.

You Have a Stronghold

You have a stronghold when you face challenging times and spiritual enemies. A stronghold is a fortified place of refuge. For example, in King David’s day, a stronghold was a city with high walls, towers, and a large gated entrance. When the enemy attacked, the citizens would run into the fortress and close the gate. There they would find protection from the attack.

You have that strong fortress where you can take refuge when the enemy attacks you. Satan may come against you, but you have the protection of your Heavenly Father’s care. You never have to fear the attack of the enemy because Jesus is your stronghold. All you need do is run to Him.

He Will Deliver You

When you take refuge in the Lord, He promises to deliver you from the wicked and the wicked one. Satan cannot touch you as you take shelter in the stronghold of the Lord.

Today, don’t live in fear. Walk in faith, knowing God is your protection.

Look at that promise one more time.

The salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; he is their stronghold in the time of trouble. The Lord helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him. – Psalm 37:39-40

Make these confessions.

  • My salvation comes only from the Lord.
  • I take refuge in the Name of the Lord.
  • When I face spiritual attack, He delivers me from the enemy’s hand.
  • I am safe and secure because God is my protection.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

In the heat of the battle, God provides a refuge and stronghold. Run to Him to find safety and protection.

The most important thing you can do for your pastor is to pray for him. Most churches are still in some level of transition. Your pastor needs an extra level of anointing, wisdom, and strength.
