God Hides Me in the Secret Place
For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock.
Psalm 27:5
When the world is crashing in all around you, you can be confident that God will hide and protect you in His secret place.
Your Walk With God Matters
The secret to King David’s public confidence was his private walk with God. He understood that God was protecting and keeping Him.
David had a profound and intimate fellowship with God. The verses just before this promise describe David’s desire to live in the presence of the Lord.
In the Old Testament, when a guest was in your home, you were responsible for their protection and provision. Even though it might only be a tent, it became a safe refuge. Your host would lay down his life to make sure you were protected from any attack.
God’s Dwelling Place
The tabernacle of God is the dwelling place of God. At that time, it was just a tent, but David knew there was safety in the presence of God.
He knew his enemies could not touch him because God would give him victory.
God Secret Place
David came away from his personal time of worship with the confidence that he was standing on a rock-solid foundation and that God was his protection. He knew that God would hide him in such a way that his enemies could never find him.
When you walk in the presence of the Lord, you walk in His protection and provision. God hides you away so that no enemy can reach you.
He will hide and protect you in His secret place. You can rest in His presence, knowing He is in control.
When your “day of trouble” comes, know that God will be your hiding place. If you are going through a difficult time today, spend some extra time in worship and prayer. Enter into His presence and know that He is with you and will safely hide you away.
Look at that verse again.
For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock. – Psalm 27:5
Make these confessions.
- When troubles come, I know God will protect me.
- He will hide me in His presence.
- He will keep me from the enemy and provide for my every need.
- He is my hiding place.

From 2019 up until now God has kept me in his secret hiding place. Through many surgeries and a move to a new home in a different state and a whole new way of life into my senior hood, God has kept me and provided for me,, and Blessed me in all of his ways..
