Today’s Promise

God is Always Faithful

If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.
2 Timothy 2:13

God is Faithful

The great creator God is faithful in all His ways, in all He says, and in all He does. You can rest in His faithful love toward you. Even when you are unfaithful, God is faithful.

The God you serve is a faithful God. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His steadfast love for you is beyond your understanding. The Old Testament used the word “Lovingkindness” to describe God’s commitment love for you. Deuteronomy 7:9 says that God is faithful to His promises from one generation to the next.

God is also faithful to His word. When God makes a promise, you can count on it. Number 19:23 reminds us that God is not like you and me. He does not change his mind with the wind. When He makes a promise, He keeps it. When He speaks, He always fulfills what He has said. Our faith is based on His faithfulness to His word.

God is faithful in protecting His children. 1 Corinthians 10:13 says God is faithful and won’t allow you to be tempted beyond your ability to have victory. His faithfulness guards you against the attack of Satan and the powers of darkness.

Finally, God is faithful to His children. Even when we are unfaithful, God is still faithful. We all have times when we drift in our walk with Christ. It may be in rebellion, or we may have allowed other things to move us away from the Lord.

God has a committed love for you. Your unfaithfulness doesn’t affect His faithfulness. God loves you so much that He will allow your unfaithfulness. However, He loves you enough that He will draw you back to Himself. Like the prodigal son’s father, God is always watching for your return. He greets you with open arms and celebrates your return.

Look at that promise again.

If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself. – 2 Timothy 2:13
