God is Good All the Time
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting.

Thankful for God’s goodness
You can be thankful today because God is good. He is good in His character, good in His ways, and good in how He deals with you.
Everything you have and everything you are comes from the Lord. Every day, He pours His blessings on you and your family. His goodness and commitment love for you never ends.
We all enjoy far more blessings than we deserve. Most of us have a lifestyle that much of the world can only dream of.
However, even with all the blessings we enjoy, we can get sidetracked by fear and worry. With overbooked calendars, we can forget to stop and thank God for all He has done for us.
God’s command – thankful
God commands us to be thankful. Thankful people have a special connection with the Lord. Thankful people are not proud people. They recognize all the beautiful things God has brought into their lives.
Something amazing happens when you become a thankful person. When you give thanks to the Lord, you confess that He is a good and loving God.
When you give thanks to the Lord, you also confess your dependence and trust in Him. As you give thanks, God’s goodness and love override the concerns of life.
You can be thankful
Today, you can be thankful no matter what your situation. As a child of God, you are blessed.
Don’t let worry or stress steal the joy that comes from thankfulness. Take time to review all the blessings God has brought into your life. As the old gospel hymn says, “Count your blessings, name them one by one. Count your many blessings; see what God has done.”
You can give thanks today because God is good.
You can give thanks today because God cares for you in ways beyond your knowledge.
You can give thanks today because His commitment love for you is everlasting. He will never forget or leave you. Even when you feel all alone, God is there with you to teach, direct, and comfort you.
Look at that promise again.
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting. – Psalm 118:29
Make these confessions.
- Thank you, Lord, for all the blessings you have given me.
- Thank you for your goodness and promise.
- Thank you for caring for me in ways I never see.
- Thank you that your love for me will never end.

When you take time to be thankful, the problems of today fade, and you see just how much God loves you.
There are at least eight times when the Apostle Paul asked for prayer. Today I am asking you to pray for me. As we head into the busy season of the fall, I need God’s strength, wisdom, guidance, and provision. Take a moment to pray for me and this ministry. My heart is to encourage believers around the world with the promise of God. Ask God to bless and expand this ministry.
