God is Seeking Ways to Bless You
For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him.
2 Chronicles 16:9
God is Actively Seeking
God is actively seeking people He can support and bless. He blesses those who are obedient to Him.
Imagine the God of the universe searching the earth for people He can support, bless, and strengthen. Many of us find it difficult to think that God is looking for ways to help us. So many people think God is looking for ways to punish them. They see God as the great judge instead of the great loving father.
This promise tells us that God searches across the globe to find people He can help and bless. The only criterion is that their heart must be blameless before Him.
A Blameless Heart
Now, a blameless heart doesn’t mean a perfect or sinless heart. A blameless heart is completely yielded and trusts God.
The person with a blameless heart is a completely devoted follower of Christ. They are not on-again, off-again followers. The person with a blameless heart has made the decision, and they are fully committed.
God supports you by being on your side, strengthening you, and supplying your every need. He will protect and defend you. He will encourage you and stand by you against every enemy.
God Never Overlooks You
Since God is always looking for those trusting in Him, He will never forget or overlook you. Just as a mother constantly watches over her children on the playground, God is watching over you. At the first sign of trouble, the mother rushes to the aid of her children. When trouble comes your way, God is right there with you.
God is actively seeking ways He can support and empower you today.
Look at that promise again.
For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him. – 2 Chronicles 16:9
Make these confessions.
- As a follower of Christ, God is my strong support.
- He is on my side.
- I will never be overlooked or forgotten in His eyes.
- God is standing with me to protect and provide for me.
