Today’s Promise
God Leads Me in the Way I Should Go
Psalm 25:12
Who is the man who fears the Lord? He will instruct him in the way he should choose.
When you fear the Lord, God promises to lead and guide you through the big and small decisions of life.
Choosing Wisely
Do you ever struggle with making the right choices?
Sometimes, life’s choices are not always easy. Choices are not always black and white. Sometimes you have to choose between good and good. Often, the right choice is not always clear. Making the right choices is the pathway to success, so you need the wisdom and direction from the Lord.
Fearing the Lord
The starting point for making good decisions is fearing the Lord. God promises to instruct and give wisdom to those who fear Him. It doesn’t matter if it’s a big decision or a small one if you ask, God promises to lead and instruct you.
What does it mean to fear the Lord? If God is a God of love, why should we fear Him?
To fear the Lord is to recognize Him for who He is and to show Him the reverence and respect He is due. To fear the Lord is not to cower before Him, but to understand that He is the Lord God who holds eternity in His hands. It is to recognize His authority in your life and to live accordingly in obedience to Him. When you fear the Lord, you understand that you are accountable to him for how you lived your life.
God’s Reward
God rewards those who fear Him. Those who fear the Lord receive instruction on how they should live and the choices they make. God imparts His wisdom and guidance into your life when you fear Him. Wisdom equips you to make the right decisions, no matter the size.
Sometimes the hardest decisions to make are those between good and best. You need the wisdom of the Lord to discern the direction you should go. As you walk in fear of the Lord, you have the promise that He will lead and guide you. He will fill you with wisdom and understanding.
Next time you are faced with a decision to make, submit your life to the Lord (fear the Lord) and ask Him for wisdom and guidance.
As you make the right choices, guided by His presence and prompting, you will find success in all your ways.
Look at that promise once again.
Who is the man who fears the Lord? He will instruct him in the way he should choose. – Psalm 25:12
Make this confession.
- As I fear the Lord, He directs my path.
- He gives me wisdom for the choices I must make today.
- As I make the right choices, I follow successful paths.
- God gives me wisdom and direction as I learn to fear Him.
