Today’s Promise

God Makes My Plans Successful

Proverbs 16:3

Commit your works to the Lord and your plans will be established.

The Pathway to Success

We all want to be successful. Who doesn’t want to see the plans for their business, career, and family succeed?

God gives us a simple plan in this powerful little promise. If you commit your plans to the Lord, He will establish them.

Submit Your Plans

There are two parts to this promise. First, you have to commit your plans to the Lord. We all have dreams and projects we want to accomplish. The beginning point for every project or plan is gaining the Lord’s approval. We need to submit our plans to the Lord.

A few years ago, I led a church to relocate and build a new church building. We had to submit our plans to the city for their approval. The plans could not be established until they were submitted and approved by the city. If the city rejected our plans or asked for modifications, we had to go back to the architect and made changes so they would be approved.

Too often, we start making plans and projects without ever getting the approval of the Lord. Then when we find ourselves stuck or failing, we wonder why things are not working out as we planned.

For your plans to be successful, you must submit them to the Lord for His approval. First you submit your plans to His leadership and guidance. Then you make adjustments to your plans according to His direction. Only then will your plans succeed.

Let God Lead You

Second, once you submit your plans to the Lord, He will lead you and direct you in the next steps. He will bring together the resources to help establish your plans.

Living in submission to the Lord allows the blessing of God to flow through you and into your plans. Your plans will be successful as you commit them to the Lord, trusting God to bring them to pass.

Look at that verse again.

Commit your works to the Lord and your plans will be established. Proverbs 16:3

Make these confessions.

  • Today I submit my life and all my plans to the Lord.
  • I am listening for His approval and direction.
  • I know He will lead and guide me.
  • God will establish my plans so they will be successful.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

If you want your work to be successful, you must give it to the Lord for His approval before you ever begin. In doing so, you will find new wisdom, guidance as you work. God will bless your work and bring about success.
