Today’s Promise

God Stores Up Goodness for Me

Oh, how abundant is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you and worked for those who take refuge in you, in the sight of the children of mankind!
Psalm 31:19

God has a never-ending supply of goodness and mercy stored up for you and me.

God’s Goodness Stored Up

Earlier in this Psalm, David cried out for protection from his enemies. In this promise, he breaks out in praise and worship to God. In doing so, he reveals a beautiful promise from God.

God stores up goodness for those who put their trust in Him. God’s goodness is His mercy, favor, and blessing. Imagine a massive warehouse in heaven holding all the mercies and blessings you will ever need. God has set aside a lifetime supply of His goodness and mercy for you.

God has already stored up everything you will need. God has the answer stored and ready to disperse before you even need it. He has anticipated everything you will need and has it ready for you. Even before you ask, heaven’s answer is ready.

Like many of God’s promises, there is a condition to this promise. This promise is only for those who fear the Lord and put their trust in Him.

Fearing God

Fearing God is honoring Him. It’s not cowering in the dust but living with honor and respect for the Lord. It understands that you will give an account of your life to Him.

Taking refuge in the Lord is trusting that He will supply your every need.

When you put your faith and trust in the Lord, the keys of heaven open the warehouse doors. God’s goodness, blessings, and mercy are released into your life. No matter what you do, you will never deplete God’s goodness and mercy stored up for you.

Look at that promise again.

Oh, how abundant is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you and worked for those who take refuge in you, in the sight of the children of mankind! – Psalm 31:19

Make these confessions.

  • God stores up mercy and blessings for me.
  • I fear and trust in the Lord.
  • God’s goodness toward me is everlasting.
  • God has the answer before I need it.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

No matter what you may face, God has goodness and mercy already waiting in heaven. When you trust in Him, He releases the goodness and mercy on your life.
