Today’s Promise

God’s Presence is Always With Me
Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, You are there. If I take the wings of the dawn, if I dwell in the remotest part of the sea, even there Your hand will lead me, And Your right hand will lay hold of me.
Psalm 139:7-10
God’s Presence
If you have ever felt like God was a thousand miles away, today’s promise is for you.
You are never alone. You may feel like the only person in the room, but God’s presence is always with you.
As a follower of Christ, you can be confident that you will never escape the presence of God.
The psalmist says no matter where you go, God’s presence is still there. If you go to the top of the heavens or the bottom of the sea, God’s Spirit is there. If you travel from east to west at the speed of light, you will find God is already there, waiting for you.
God is Omnipresent
Theologians call this God’s omnipresence. God is not limited to time and space; He exists everywhere simultaneously. No matter where you go or how fast you get there, God is already there.
His presence is a reminder of His love for you. No matter where you go, you are always in His presence. You are always surrounded by His love. As you rest in His presence, you rest in His love. If you are feeling lonely today, God’s presence is with you. If you feel alone and no one cares, remember that God is with you and loves you.
Your Heavenly Father has promised to be with you and guide you throughout your day.
He is Holding You
One last thing. God is holding onto you. A child may think they are holding their parent’s hand as they cross the street. However, that mother or father is actually holding their child’s hand, making sure they cross the road safely.
Today, you are in God’s presence, walking in His love. He will lead and hold your hand no matter where you go.
Let’s review that promise.

Make these confessions.
- No matter where I go, God is with me.
- I can never escape His presence or guidance.
- Even when I stray from Him, He is always with me.
- Today, He is guiding me and holding my hand.
