Today’s Promise

I Have Rivers of Living Water

John 7:37-38

“If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.”

Refreshing Water

On a hot day, few things are more refreshing than an ice-cold drink of water. You can go a long time without food, but just a few days without water. Water is essential to life.

Jesus promised living water to those who would come to Him. His living water satisfies your soul and refreshes your spirit. When you drink His living water, you never thirst again.

A Cleansing Flow

Flowing water is a symbol of cleansing in the Bible. The living water of the Spirit cleanses your heart and your hands.

Jesus said this living water would bubble up from within you and overflow to the world around you. It is a constant supply of satisfaction and renewal.

To a dry and thirsty world, where hearts have become hard as parched ground, you have living water to soften hearts and heal hurts.

In the next verse, Jesus explains that this living water is the promised Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit brings healing, satisfaction, and renewal. As a believer, the promise of Jesus is the living water of the Spirit, flowing from within you. He is a never-ending source of comfort, joy, refreshment, and power.

If your heart is dry, and you need refreshment, come to Him and find water that will quench your thirst for all eternity. One drink of His living water, and you will never be the same again.

Let’s look at that promise again.

If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’ – John 7:37-38

Make these confessions.

  • I have a river of living water flowing in me.
  • This living water overflows to the world around me.
  • The living water is the Holy Spirit in me.
  • The Holy Spirit relieves my thirst and renews my heart.

In Jesus name,
Amen

As a Christian, you have the living water Jesus promised. The Holy Spirit resides in you and will refresh and empower you today.
