Saturday Review

Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises we learned during the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts.

Monday – I Have Abundant Life

We began the week seeing how we have abundant life through faith in Christ.

Here’s the promise.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. – John 10:10

Confess this with me:

  • In Jesus Christ, I have abundant life.
  • Unending life when I die, and overflowing life from day to day.
  • He is my protection, my guide, and my provider.
  • Today, I will live in the abundant life Jesus promised.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

You don’t have to wait for heaven to experience the abundant life that Jesus promised. The abundant life began the day you gave your heart to Christ. Abundant life isn’t just heaven when we die, but a quality of life right here and now.

Tuesday – God Never Abandons His Children

On Tuesday, we claimed the promise that God never forsakes His children. He will never abandon you and will always be your provision.

Here’s the promise.

I have been young, and now I am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his descendants begging bread. – Psalm 37:25

Confess this with Me:

  • Father, thank you that you are watching over me today.
  • I know you will never forsake me and will always be my supply.
  • When worry and fear come my way, remind me that You never forsake Your children.
  • As your child, I trust You will always be by my side.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

No matter where you may find yourself today, remember God will never leave you. As His child, you can rest assured that He will be your protection, your security, and your provision.

Wednesday – I Have Victory Over Temptation

Midway through the week, we were reminded that God gives us victory in every temptation.

Here’s the promise.

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. – 1 Corinthians 10:13

Confess this with me today:

  • My temptations are no different than anyone else’s.
  • God limits what temptations come into my life.
  • God always provides a way to escape from every temptation.
  • In Jesus Christ, I have victory over every temptation.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

God has provided everything you need to overcome every temptation that comes into your life. As His child, you can walk in victory over temptation.

Thursday – God is My Sun and Shield

On Thursday, we stood on the promise that God is our sun and shield.

Here’s the promise.

For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly. – Psalm 84:11

Make these confessions.

  • Father, thank you for being my sun and shield.
  • Thank you for your warmth, light, and direction.
  • Thank you for your protection throughout the day.
  • Today you are pouring over me your grace and glory.
  • Keep me close to you and every blessing you have for me.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

Since God is our sun and our shield, you need never walk in fear. He gives you grace and glory—all for your benefit.

Friday – I Am New in Christ

We ended the week celebrating that we are new creatures in Jesus Christ.

Here’s the promise.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. – 2 Corinthians 5:17

Confess this with me,

  • In Jesus Christ, I am a new person.
  • My past doesn’t matter, my sin is forgiven, and Jesus dwells in me.
  • My old life died when I gave my life to Jesus.
  • I live as a new person free from my past, my failures, and my shame.
  • In Jesus Christ, I am a new creature, empowered to the new life Christ has for me.

In Jesus’ Name
Amen

In Christ, you are new and significantly better than you were before you came to Christ. You are a new creature in Him.

That’s it for this week’s review.

That’s it for this week. I pray these promises have been a blessing to you. Take a moment and go back through these verses. Allow God to speak to you through one of these promises.

Please take a moment and share one of these promises with a friend, or post it online. During these days, everyone can use a positive promise from God’s Word.
