Jesus Set Me Free
So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.

You are Set Free
Today we are looking at the freedom we have in Christ. There are so many things that want to put you in bondage, but Jesus has set you free from them all.
It is so easy to fall into bondage. There is the bondage of our past, the bondage to our sin, and even the bondage of religion. Satan is always trying to get a noose around your neck and shackles on your feet.
Jesus came to set you free. He promised freedom to all who follow Him. Jesus broke the changes of bondage and keeps you free in Him.
Here are three ways Jesus has set you free:
Jesus Set You Free from your sin.
When Jesus died on the cross, He paid the debt for your sin and broke the power of sin over you. You were once a slave to your sin. When sin called, you always came running. Sin promised freedom, but it only delivered bondage. Jesus set you free from sin. Its’ power over you has been broken. Your sinful nature has been replaced with a new nature that longs to please God. You are no longer a slave to sin.
Jesus Set You Free from your past.
We all have a past. We all have regrets and shame from days gone by. Many people carry shame and guilt from their past like a thousand-pound weight on their shoulders. Their past is always holding them back. In Christ, you’re a new person. Your past is in the past, and Jesus set you free from your guilt and shame. The chains of your past life are broken. You are free to walk in fellowship with God every day of your life.
Jesus Set You Free to be All God calls you to be.
Like a loving father, God has a wonderful plan for you. Where sin has held you back, Christ set you free to be the person God calls you to be. You are no longer held back by the chains that once kept you down. You are free! Free to walk in friendship with the living God and free to do His will, obey His commands, and be the person God made you to be.
Let’s review that promise again.
So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. – John 8:36
Make these Confessions:
- In Jesus Christ, I am free.
- I am no longer a slave to my sin.
- I have freedom from my guilt and shame.
- I have the freedom to walk in fellowship with God every day.
In Jesus Name,

Don’t allow Satan or anyone else to put you back into bondage. Jesus has set you free. Leave the chains behind and walk in freedom today.
