Today’s Promise

Jesus Will Carry All Your Burdens

Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.
Psalm 55:22

Life Brings Burdens

Whatever life brings your way, you can give it to the Lord, knowing He will take care of you.

Sometimes you just never know what life brings you. In these uncertain and trying times, God gives you a promise of hope. When you trust Him, He will strengthen you and keep you secure.

This promise is repeated in 1 Peter 5:7. When God repeats Himself, you had better pay close attention. When a promise shows up in the Old and New Testaments, you can be sure God doesn’t want you to miss it.

The word “burden” in this promise means your lot in life or what life has brought to you. Sometimes you take on burdens, and sometimes burdens are thrust upon you. You didn’t deserve them or even see them coming, but here they are.

Cast Your Burdens

I love how God says, “cast your burden.” It’s the picture of taking off a heavy backpack and throwing it to someone else to carry.

Instead of carrying all your worry, fear, and uncertainty, you can throw them over to the Lord. When you cast your burden on the Lord, it is a confession of faith and trust in Him. You are saying, “God, I trust you. I know you love me and will take care of me.” God always upholds those who place their trust in Him.

Safe and Secure

This promise says He will not let you be shaken. He will be your solid rock. He will strengthen you through the storms and uncertainties of life, keeping you safe and secure.

Hebrews 13:5 says that God will never leave or forsake you. You don’t have to carry your burdens alone. God is with you right now, by your side, encouraging and sustaining you.

What you are facing today may not change tomorrow, but God gives you hope, courage, and determination to make it through what life brings.

Every day you have a choice, you can carry your burdens or throw them into the Lord’s hands.

Look at that promise again.

Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken. – Psalm 55:22

Make these confessions

  • Right now, I throw all my burdens on the Lord.
  • I confess Jesus is my security, strength, and comfort.
  • He will never leave me or forsake me.
  • He will keep me on solid ground no matter what life brings.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen

God invites you to throw all your burdens and cares on Him. He is faithful to care for you, no matter what life throws your way.

Do you believe in divine appointments? I sure do. This year God introduced me to a young man named Nicholas. Nicholas lives in one of the poorest areas of Uganda. However, Nicholas has a goal of pulling himself out of poverty by attending the university. Although our ministry is not a funding or benevolent ministry, sometimes God puts a need before you, and you know you must meet that need. This year we have helped Nicholas finish his last year of school. If we had not intervened, he would have had to leave school and lost all the credit from the last few years. Your support helps fund special opportunities like Nicholas’s.

Faith VS Fear Book CoverFor everyone who makes an anniversary gift to the ministry, I will send you a teaching I just put together called Faith vs. Fear, releasing your faith to overcome fear.

Right now, we are being bombarded with fear-filled messages about the economy, the potential for war, when the next pandemic may come, and the list goes on and on. I know Satan is working overtime to lure God’s people into living in fear.

Again for everyone who makes a gift to the ministry, I’ll send you a copy of the eBook and the audio version of Faith vs. Fear.
