My Faith Pleases God

And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
Hebrews 11:6

A Life of Faith

The Christian life is a life of faith. The only way to please the Lord is to live by faith. No matter how hard you try, the Christian life simply doesn’t work if it’s not lived by faith.

Chapter 11 of Hebrews is often called the faith chapter. The word “faith” shows up ten times in the first 13 verses. This chapter lists many of the great heroes of the Bible, and they were all men and women of faith.

Here is a simple definition of faith; Faith is trusting that God will do what He has said He would do.

This verse gives us two truths about faith.

First, faith begins with the belief that God exists. The starting point for the life of faith is believing that God exists. God is more than an impersonal force. He is the eternal creator who is ever-present and ever-powerful. He is good, loving, and wants a relationship with His creation.

Second, you must believe that God rewards those who seek Him. If God exists but never interacts with His creation, then what does it matter? However, if God rewards those who seek Him, then everything changes. God promises to reward those who seek Him. When you seek the Lord, you are rewarded with heaven when they die and the abundant life in the here and now.

The first step of faith is putting your trust in Jesus as your Savior and Lord. The next step of faith is seeking Him with all you are. After that, it’s a matter of trusting Him in your daily decisions. God works in your life to grow and test your faith. There will be difficult times when you must trust God as never before. Remember, during those times, God rewards those who seek Him and live by faith.

Without faith, you stand alone, trusting in your strength and wisdom. When you live by faith, you walk in the favor and blessing of God. You live in fellowship with Him, and your life is pleasing to the Lord.

Look at that promise again.

And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. – Hebrews 11:6

Make these Confessions.

  • I live by faith, trusting in what God has said and promised.
  • I am committed to seeking the Lord with all I am.
  • God will reward my seeking Him by revealing Himself to me.
  • My faith in God is pleasing to Him.

In Jesus Name,
Amen

The Christian life is a life of faith. It is trusting that God rewards those who seek Him with all their heart.

Amen! Lord please continue to give me strength and grow my faith. You are God all mighty! The past 8 months have been hard battling several issues, problems, difficulties and illnesses…our world has crumbled in several areas and seems to be falling apart, but we continue to take heart…for He had overcome the world!

      HI Lizzy,
I’ve prayed that God would bless you with courage to face whatever this world brings to you. Prayed for the health of you and your family. Prayed for the blessing of discernment to be able to know Gods truth from the lies of this world. May you be in God’s loving care. From a sister in Christ.
