Today’s Promise

My Grace is Enough for You

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
2 Corinthians 12:9

Thorn in the Flesh

If you have ever felt like you were at the end of your rope and just couldn’t make it today’s promise for you.

While writing the letter to the Corinthian church, the Apostle Paul was in a particularly difficult time in his life. He had prayed and prayed for God to remove what he called a “thorn in his flesh,” but God had denied his request. We don’t know what the “thorn in the flesh” was. It could have been a physical ailment, or it could have been the continued persecution he received as he preached the Gospel.

We do know that Paul felt the “thorn” limited his ministry and affected his life. Paul asked God on three different occasions to remove it.

God finally answered his prayer by saying, “My grace is sufficient for you.” Then God went on to say that His power was made evident in Paul’s weakness.

God’s Grace

What is God’s Grace? God’s grace is His unmerited favor. It’s God’s love, expressed for no other reason than He is a loving God.

God’s grace in your life strengthens and empowers you. His grace brought about your salvation. There was nothing you did that caused God to love you. It was His grace that drew you to Himself in the first place.

Like Paul, we pray for God to remove or resolve our problems. How many times have you thought, “If God would just get rid of this problem I have, life would be so much better?” Sometimes God’s answer is not to remove the problem but to give you His strength and courage to go through the problem.

Your Weakness

You may feel you aren’t strong enough to bring glory to God. God says His power, combined with your weakness, is the perfect formula for His glory.

Whatever you are facing today, God’s grace is enough. It has been said that you will never know Jesus is all you need until Jesus is all you have. Whatever problems come into your life, God’s grace will be enough.

Let’s look at that promise once again.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9

Make these confessions.

  • I have God’s grace working in my life.
  • His grace gives me strength, power, and comfort.
  • No matter what I face, God’s grace is enough for me.
  • I can face any situation because God’s grace is working in my life.

In Jesus’ Name,
Amen

When you feel overwhelmed by problems and can’t go on, remember God’s grace is enough.

God has sustained me for over a year of suffering with long covid. I found these devotionals over a year ago and God has used them again and again to remind me His grace is enough. I will not stop asking for healing…and I have been on the brink of breaking so many times because my body is so hurt, tired, and broken. Long covid has been tearing me apart, but in my weakness I know that God truly is the only thing keeping me here. I have seeking medical help time and time again, but help has not come. I have begged and asked God for over a year for healing, but it has not happened. He is still good, He is still God. I am just tired and worn, but may God be glorified through this.

God Grace brought me throughout many situations. One of those situations is when I was diagnosed with TB’s in 1998, I was 6 months pregnant. The doctors made a decision fir me to have a abortion, because they said my baby wouldn’t be able to live a normal life. I have the abortion with neither my family nor friends who I needed more than anything by my side. I needed comfort and care of love. I remember that day as if it was now in my heart. All I had at that time was my Psalm 23, which I was taught by my mother when I was a Catholic child. I repeatedly said that Psalm over and over again. After I had the abortion, they brought me back to the hospital and a few days after that, they transferred me to another hospital facility and I had to stay there for 18 months, Only given four Prescription drugs. One pill for the TB, the other three was for heartburns, two for vitamins, They kept me there for the reason why. our Governor had sign a petition letter to keep me there. I was Isolation in a hospital with people that was so much worse than I was. I didn’t have no stress, suffering or pain. This reminds me of Paul, even though he had a Infirmity, ge didn’t give up on his calling. And neither did I, Now God had overwhelmed me with His Ministery to help many who are bound by sickness and disease. To know they too can overcome every trials.

for the LORD. He has truly BLESSED me even
though it got a little ugly and the HOLY SPIRIT
has me wrapped all in him and I’m glad cause I have to TRUST GOD. It feels good to wait on the GREAT I AM. Been through life issues but I can’t give up cause he got me and I’m listening
And want to please GOD AND HE GOT ALL THE GLORY OUT OF MU LIFE.
